    Caster Semenya was reportedly very tired after her 1500m bronze but you wouldn't know it from that heat. She jogs round for 600m in third place, just staying in position before gliding through to win. Impressive.

    That javelin throw of 91.20m by Johannes Vetter to qualify was the fourth furthest throw ever seen since the World Championships started in 1983 - and it would have won gold in all but two World Championship finals.
