  17. 'Taylor has to concentrate'published at 20:16 British Summer Time 28 October 2017

    Sanchez v Taylor

    Mike Costello
BBC Radio 5 live boxing commentator in Cardiff

I'm disappointed that the champion failed to make the weight because she was given time to lose a pound.

And that seemed to be well within her scope. But it doesn't change the challenge facing Katie Taylor.

She has to concentrate on her own performance. I was taking to her manager Brian Peters in the build-up and he agreed this has come early for her. But there is the issue of her going stale if she doesn't increase the momentum of the challenges with each passing fight.

He feels the time is right now to start moving into contention for showdowns with other champions and maybe other divisions.
