Paul Gascoigne in attendance tonight, just a few seats down from Paris Fury. He’s asked to pose for a photograph and pushes his lips out while turning his head to one side. It’s a pose more befitting of Love Island than ringside but he finds it hilarious.

Who is the better fighter - Wilder, Joshua or Fury and why?

Chewy: AJ, Wilder then Fury at present. Fury needs another year and competitive fights to be realistically talked about against those two after his time out.

Andy Walker: Fury is the most talented, if he gets his head right he beats the other two. Joshua has the best team, PR and works the hardest.

Round 2: Terry Flanagan v Maurice Hooker

Two gone and Terry Flanagan will be very content with his work so far. The highly-rated American has not been able to land anything of note so far with the Englishman bouncing around energetically in front of his home crowd.

A fine straight left finds it mark, much to the delight of his friends, thousands of them.

Two hard-to-call rounds, but Flanagan may have just taken both as he has done the more effective work. Very close though and no certainties.

If you shell out the £10 for a programme tonight you’ll get one packed with Tyson Fury telling us how good he is going to be.

From being better than in 2015 to stating he’s back to claim what’s his, it’s a buffet of Fury swagger.

Shout out to Sefer Seferi though who despite his massive odds, says: “Fury is tall and strong but he won’t be ready for the pressure I will bring.

“I will seize this opportunity with both hands.”

Round 1: Terry Flanagan v Maurice Hooker

Both fighters are unbeaten and Maurice Hooker boasted he would knock Flanagan out inside the opening three minutes. Well, he was wrong.

A largely uneventful opening round with both fighters using the time to see what the other is capable of. Tight and tense to start it off.

  7. 'He is a natural in the ring'published at 21:32 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

Only four men can claim to have beaten Fury , externalduring his amateur days and one of them - Liverpool's David Price - will be ringside for BBC Radio 5 live at the Manchester Arena.

Price - a 2008 Olympic bronze medallist - recalls a rivalry during their amateur years and says he was "taken aback" when he heard a young Fury vowing to take his Olympic place.

He now says the two are "friends" and says Fury's quips - such as once labelling Price "a big stiff plumber" on Instagram - have helped him grow in popularity.

Price told BBC Radio 5 live: "If you're not easily offended everyone would accept he is such a character to have in the sport. He has grown on a lot of people.

"I think he can rediscover all of what he was but in time. Its not going to come back on Saturday night. He needs to get ring fitness and familiarity under the lights.

"It will come back sooner than people think, one or two fights after Saturday. He is a natural in the ring, so comfortable, which is why he can go round after round without looking like getting tired because he is so relaxed in there."

Who is the better fighter - Wilder, Joshua or Fury and why?

Benjamin Corbin: Joshua can't hit what he can't see. Fury will float round the ring and make him miss. Hit and avoid being hit is the game!

Robin Quartermain: Anthony Joshua - knew from seeing him at the Olympics he was a class act, best heavyweight in the world since Lennox Lewis.

It’s starting to bubble here, the noise increasing as Maurice Hooker walks to the ring to some Drake tunes.

I can tell you it is baking ringside. A lot of people are fanning themselves so imagine what going 12 rounds is like. Neither of these men are known as huge punchers so we may well go the 36 minutes.

Oh, and Hooker said this week that Terry Flanagan fights “dirty”. So expect some chaos. Just the small matter of a world title on the line.

  10. How they compare...published at 21:29 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

  11. Mighty Mo has strong pedigreepublished at 21:26 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

Like Terry Flanagan, Maurice Hooker is undefeated - he has won 23 and drawn three of his 26 fights.

Born in Dallas, Texas, the 28-year-old turned pro in 2011 and has nine knock-outs on his record to date.

The furthest he has boxed from home so far is Mexico, so tonight represents a step into the unknown in that regard.

    His nickname is 'Mighty Mo'.

  12. Turbo Terry Flanagan - the story so farpublished at 21:25 British Summer Time 9 June 2018

Terry Flanagan, nicknamed Turbo, has been marked as a fighter destined for great things for some time.

He held the WBO lightweight title from 2015 to 2017, becoming the first Englishman to win a world strap in that weight class after defeating American Jose Zepeda.

The Mancunian also held the British lightweight title in 2014, and won the 2012 Prize Fighter tournament.

A southpaw, he currently holds the longest undefeated record by an active British boxer, with 33 wins.

We have recently heard from Tyson Fury and he told BT Sport: "I want to go into deep water again. Ten rounds if he can. If he can't do it I want someone who can.

"I've been nearly three years out. All you have to do is wind me up and watch me go.

"I've always been a very special talent and always knew I could come back. I'm back - the Mac is returning. Please do'nt miss it it's going to be epic."

Asked what he will do between now and his fight, Fury said: "Chocolate bars, sweets and cake."

Sam (far left) says an “easy” sixth round win awaits for Fury and Sam may be worth listening to as he won the Merseyside and Cheshire title in the ring last year.

Who is the better fighter - Wilder, Joshua or Fury and why?

Napper Dave: Fury has no power. He talks like we have never seen him fight before. He can box, but he can’t knock you out. Wilder has the big punch but he needs opponents who will let him do that. Fury and AJ would have enough craft to avoid the Alabama slammer.

Martin Hider: You can’t judge Fury by his past fights, he's had two years out let’s not forget and a lot has changed. Wilder is a wild puncher with power and lands each hit, and Joshua is the complete boxer with a massive right hand! For me, Joshua best fighter.
