  1. Lunch at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 16 May

    Durham v Notts 133-1

Nottinghamshire have made a super start on their travels and have raced to 133-1 off 29 overs.

Ben Slater was the only wicket to fall, shortly after reaching 50, while Haseeb Hameed brought up his half-century just before lunch and is unbeaten on 51.

    Freddie McCann has 24.

  2. Lunch at New Roadpublished at 13:05 British Summer Time 16 May

    Worcs 84-3 v Essex

Worcestershire have lost their top three batsmen in the morning session.

Gareth Roderick fell in the tenth over before Henry Nicholls was out disappointingly without scoring as he tried to leave a ball, and Jake Libby then followed for 16.

Kashif Ali has offered hope and is unbeaten on 29 alongside Rob Jones on nine.

  3. Lunch at Tauntonpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 16 May

    Somerset 99-2 v Sussex

James Rew looks to flick it off his legs from Hayes but instead takes a thick edge down to third man for four.

The next ball is much better from Rew, though, as he punches a lovely cover drive to the short boundary at Taunton.

And that takes us through to lunch with Somerset 99-2.

  4. Lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 16 May

    Warwicks v Hants 85-3

Two late wickets before lunch of Nick Gubbins and Tom Prest have swung the morning back slightly towards Warwickshire.

Mark Stoneman has survived a couple of scares to make it to lunch unbeaten on 41.

  5. Postpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 16 May

    Surrey v Yorkshire 75-2

A rare couple of runs off Jordan Clark's bowling as Jonny Tattersall flicks it into the leg-side for a quick two.

That might help settle Tattersall a bit as he moves onto three, having taken 17 balls to get off the mark.

  6. 50 runs

50 for Haseeb Hameedpublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 16 May

    Durham v Notts 133-1

A single off Codi Yusuf brings up fifty for Haseeb Hameed off 71 balls, featuring eight fours and a six.

That's a 44th career half-century for the Nottinghamshire skipper in first-class cricket and has given the leaders a superb start to this match.

Freddie McCann is rattling along at the other end and has 24 off 37 balls.

    Prest c Davies b Barnard 7 (Warwicks v Hants 77-3)

    Warwickshire are right on top.

Ed Barnard finds the inside edge as Tom Prest plays a loose shot, away from his body, and is caught behind by Alex Davies.

    Ben Brown is in.

  8. Postpublished at 12:55 British Summer Time 16 May

    Surrey v Yorkshire 69-2

Jordan Clark is putting in one heck of a spell of bowling for Surrey at the moment to stem Yorkshire's flow.

He's well on top of Adam Lyth, while Jonny Tattersall at the other end is still yet to get off the mark after 16 balls.

Clark picked up the important wicket of James Wharton and has figures of 1-6 with three maidens from his first eight overs.

  9. Postpublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 16 May

    Warwicks v Hants 73-2

Close to another for the Bears!

Mark Stoneman is the set man, but the former England opener gets lucky to survive as Beau Webster finds the outside edge again.

It flies between the flying Alex Davies and first slip Tom Latham for a highly fortunate four.

Hants will be keen to reach lunch without further damage.

  10. Minto gets the breakthrough for Durhampublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 16 May

    Notts 124-1 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

They're playing on a green top here, but despite Durham putting Notts in, there was little doing for the bowlers in the first hour or so.

Haseeb Hameed and Ben Slater put on an opening stand of 104 before a wicket fell, as Slater edged 17-year-old James Minto to the keeper on 52.

It's Minto's third championship match and comes in the week the Norton Cricket Club player signed a two-year rookie contract. The left-armer has got the ball to seam around and has looked sharp.

As for Slater, it was the 58th time he'd passed 50 in FC cricket and the ninth against Durham. Hameed has 48.

  11. Kent lose fifth wicketpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 16 May

    Glos v Kent 75-5

Not a good morning for the visitors as a fifth wicket goes down before lunch.

Tawanda Muyeye is the latest man to go, edging to Cameron Bancroft at second slip off Tom Price.

Muyeye made 25 which is the highest score his side have managed.

Glos haven't won a match this season yet but they look determined to put that right.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 16 May

    Gubbins c Davies b Webster 27 (Warwicks v Hants 66-2)

Patience pays off as the Warwickshire bowlers get rewards for hitting the right line and length.

Beau Webster gets a little extra bounce from a delivery which straightens and takes the outside edge high on the bat of Nick Gubbins.

It goes through for a regulation catch for wicketkeeper Alex Davies.

The 62-run stand is over. Good time for a wicket with lunch beckoning.

    Tom Prest is in.

  13. 6 runs

Postpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 16 May

    Warwicks v Hants 66-1

Mark Stoneman aims a flick into the legside off Ethan Bamber but it gets a big top edge.

The Hants opener gets away with it and it goes all the way over the rope and plops onto the covers for the first six of the match.

It takes the fortunate Stoneman to 31 off 82 balls.

    Davey c Simpson b Robinson 28 (Somerset 79-2 v Sussex)

Okay, it's time to stop saying that batters are doing well...

Just as we say Josh Davey is looking in fine fettle for Somerset, Ollie Robinson bangs in a short one and Davey is adjudged to have nicked it on the way through to John Simpson behind the stumps.

Davey doesn't look happy with the umpire's decision, perhaps feeling it flicked his shirt rather than bat.

Either way, he has to walk. A good response by Sussex just as Somerset look to be building up a head of steam.

  15. Postpublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 16 May

    Somerset 79-1 v Sussex

Josh Davey is looking in good nick for Somerset. He's practically defended this one for four to move onto 28.

Perfect timing to punch it through the on-side as it pings off the bat to fly away to the boundary off Ollie Robinson.

  16. Postpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 16 May

    Durham v Notts 111-1

Good work from the Durham bowlers who have slowed Notts lightning start.

Haseeb Hameed moved to 41 off just 47 balls, but has added just four from his next 21 balls.

James Minto has looked a real threat after that wobbly opening over and shapes one away from Freddie McCann.

The Notts youngster follows it, but withdraws his bat just in time to avoid a nick behind.

Hameed scampers two off Minto's final ball to go to 48.

  17. Postpublished at 12:44 British Summer Time 16 May

    Somerset 73-1 v Sussex

    It's all going on here...

Tom Lammonby tries to sweep it round the corner from Jack Carson and Sussex wicket-keeper John Simpson reacts very quickly behind the stumps to block an almost certain four before quickly diving to whip the bails off for an attempted stumping.

It was very close but Lammonby is adjudged to have grounded his bat just in time.

    Great effort from Simpson.

  18. Division Two updatepublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 16 May

Kent are finding the going tough in Bristol and it's been Gloucestershire's Ajeet Singh Dale who has been the root cause of their pain.

He just dismissed Jack Leaning for nine and has figures of 3-22 from his opening five overs.

Northants are 86-1 against Glamorgan, with Luke Procter leading the way on 34 not out.

50 partnership for Davey and Lammonbypublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 16 May

    Somerset 73-1 v Sussex

Somerset would have settled for this after 24 overs when they were put into bat.

Tom Lammonby pushes his fourth boundary of the day through the leg-side to take the hosts onto 72-1.

Lammonby's partnership with opener Josh Davey moves past 50.

    Work to do for Sussex.

50 up for Lancashirepublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 16 May

    Lancs 54-2 v Derbys

Marcus Harris and Luke Wells are rebuilding for the Red Rose after the early loss of Keaton Jennings and Josh Bohannon.

A single from Marcus Harris brings up the fifty in the 23rd over and takes the Australia batter to 13 off 44 balls.

Lancs opener Wells then hits a rare boundary - his sixth - to take him to 36 off a patient 69 balls.

Great discipline from the Derbyshire attack which is giving the home batters nothing to work with.
