  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 16 May

    Lammonby c Simpson b Carson 60 (Somerset 176-4 v Sussex)

Tom Lammonby backs away from a fairly full, spinning delivery by Jack Carson but doesn't really do anything with it...

He dangles the bat and takes a fine nick off the outside edge before slamming into John Simpson's gloves behind the stumps.

A good knock by Lammonby comes to an end and that could be a really important wicket for Sussex.

  2. Postpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 16 May

    Somerset 176-3 v Sussex

Tom Lammonby steps onto the back foot to defend one from Ollie Robinson and just for a moment, it looks like it might drop back onto his own stumps... but misses by a foot or so.

Robinson then swings one away past the outside edge of the bat before Lammonby slaps one out towards the long boundary at Taunton. It doesn't make it all the way but they run three and Lammonby is onto 60.

Tom Abell is playing himself in at the other end and is on 10 from 35 balls.

    Durham v Notts 211-4

    Haseeb HameedImage source, Rex Features

Haseeb Hameed steps down the wicket to George Drissell and hammers the slow bowler back over his head for six.

That's the Notts captain's second maximum of the innings and moves him within 13 runs of a second ton of the season.

  4. 150 runs

150 up for Yorkshirepublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 16 May

    Surrey v Yorkshire 150-4

Yorkshire pass 150 and it's thanks in large part to Jonny Bairstow taking it to the bowling attack since coming in at number five.

Bairstow edges one down to third man off Jordan Clark to move onto 47 himself.

  5. 200 runs

200 up for Nottinghamshirepublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 16 May

    Durham v Notts 201-4

Not for the first time this season, Nottinghamshire are counter-punching well after looking in a spot of bother.

Haseeb Hameed has another lucky escape against the unfortunate James Minto as he jabs a full ball into the ground and it bounces over his stumps.

The next ball he tucks a single off his pads to bring up the Notts 200.

The visitors looked to have wasted a fine opening stand as they lost four wickets for 36 runs, including three quick wickets for five runs after lunch.

Kyle Verreynne (28) and Haseeb Hameed (29) have ridden their luck at times, but they have also put away anything loose and added 61 rapid runs for the fifth wicket.

    Middlesex 128-6 v Leicestershire

The 50-over mark has been reached at Lord's and Middlesex are now 128-6.

Ben Geddes was dismissed a short while ago with Lewis Hill making the catch to give Josh Hull his first wicket of the game.

Zafar Gohar has joined Jack Davies in the middle as they try and claw their way to a respectable first innings score.

  7. 'Hampshire's fragility is there for all to see'published at 14:59 British Summer Time 16 May

    Warwicks v Hants 134-5

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Hampshire's batting line-up is under pressure after their poor showing in the second innings at Nottinghamshire last week.

Mark Stoneman battled hard for his 48 as did Nick Gubbins and Ben Brown who made twenties.

Warwickshire’s seamers have made them work hard. They’ve plugged away on a pitch that is offering a fraction more than last week against Surrey.

Hampshire’s fragilities are there for all to see.

  8. Division Two updatepublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 16 May

Kent are now six down against Gloucestershire with Ajeet Singh Dale picking up his fourth of the innings.

He claims the scalp of Jaydn Denly who played on to his stumps for 39 from 51 balls - making him his side's top scorer today so far. They are currently on 159-6.

Glamorgan have hit back well against Northants after lunch and have turned things around with four wickets in just over 10 overs including that of visiting skipper Luke Procter who made 61.

  9. 50 runs

50 for Lammonbypublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 16 May

    Somerset 163-3 v Sussex

Well batted, Tom Lammonby. Since coming in at 21-1, Lammonby has anchored this Somerset innings very well.

He moves onto 50 and that's a second half-century of the season.

Somerset are ticking along quite nicely.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 16 May

    Brown b Webster 29 (Warwicks v Hants 130-5)

Ben Brown was playing well, but immediately after plundering his sixth boundary he chops on and Hants are in trouble.

It's another full ball from Beau Webster and perhaps a little slower. Brown is through his shot a little early and inside edges the ball onto his stumps.

    Toby Albert joins Liam Dawson.

  11. 50 runs

50 partnershippublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 16 May

    Durham v Notts 195-4

James Minto returns to the attack and Haseeb Hameed flashes hard and sends a lifting ball through deep backward point for four.

The Notts captain drives a little airily through the covers at the next ball but it's safe and goes for back-to-back boundaries.

Kyle Verreynne gets in on the act as a dab into the ground somehow races away for another four which brings up the 50 partnership for the fifth wicket off just 53 balls.

Not Minto's over as his final ball is edged by Hameed through the slips for four. The over goes for 18.

    Fine counter-attacking from Notts.

  12. Postpublished at 14:47 British Summer Time 16 May

    Surrey v Yorkshire 141-4

Yorkshire skipper Jonny Bairstow is taking a no-nonsense approach to this today.

He lifts one over point for another four off Jordan Clark and then drives one down the ground for four more.

Bairstow has raced onto 40 off 41 balls.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 16 May

    D'Oliveira c Pepper b Snater (Worcs 123-5 v Essex)

Shane Snater has his second in quick succession and third of the day as Pears skipper Brett D'Oliveira pushes at a bouncing ball and nicks it behind to Michael Pepper.

A disappointed D'Oliveira made only three from six balls.

Kashif Ali's knock and partnership with Rob Jones had given Worcs some hope but they've taken a couple of big blows and need to recover.

  14. Postpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 16 May

    Middlesex 124-5 v Leicestershire

Middlesex's first innings has seemed like a constant re-building mission after going from 0-1 to 19-3 inside the first seven overs.

They've managed to scrap their way to 124-5 since then.

Ben Geddes and Jack Davies have put on 23 runs since Ryan Higgins fell for 44. Can they repair the damage that has already been done?

  15. 'An international delivery from an international playerpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 16 May

    Surrey v Yorkshire 131-4

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

What a delivery from Nathan Smith!

His first wicket for Surrey, I don't know what you do if you're Adam Lyth there, it has come from nowhere. He did everything in his power to drop the hands but it brushed the glove.

That was an international delivery, from an international player.

  16. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 16 May

    Warwicks v Hants 123-4

Ben Brown livens up a quiet spell at Edgbaston as Ed Barnard drops a fraction short of a length and the Hampshire batter pulls him for four.

It's the skipper's fifth boundary and takes him to 22.

Even the schoolchildren have gone quiet.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 16 May

    Lyth c Foakes b Smith 55 (Surrey v Yorkshire 131-4)

A big blow for Yorkshire as New Zealand international Nathan Smith picks up his first wicket for Surrey this season.

Division One leading run scorer Adam Lyth has batted nicely today but there's not a lot he can do about this one.

It's an excellent delivery by Smith and it catches his glove on the way through to wicket-keeper Ben Foakes and he has to walk.

A fourth half-century for Lyth but it won't be a third ton.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 16 May

    Kashif b Snater 46 (Worcs 119-4 v Essex)

Kashif Ali is bowled four runs short of his half-century as a Shane Snater delivery stays low.

That breaks a promising 61-run partnership between Kashif and Rob Jones as Worcs were rebuilding in the New Road sunshine.

Captain Brett D'Oliveira is now at the crease.

  20. Durham fight back in CLSpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 16 May

    Notts 165-4 v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham only took one wicket in the morning session, as Notts reached the lunch break on 133-1.

That was from 29 overs of play. But by the time they reached the end of the 35th they were four down!

Codi Yusuf had Freddie McCann caught down the leg side by the keeper on 26. In his next over he bowled Joe Clarke for one.

Brydon Carse then showed great reactions to remove Jack Haynes for one. He was caught and bowled from a delivery which came back off the toe of the bat.

Carse has been bowling well in his first game of the season and in the last over he nearly had Haseeb Hameed three balls in a row.

The first of them whistled past off stump. There was little in it. The next two were played onto the back foot and ricocheted away to safety.
