Lando Norris continues as the fastest on the Silverstone circuit. His team-mate Oscar Piastri is three tenths behind him, making it a current McLaren 1-2.
Red Bull's Sergio Perez is behind them in third spot, while Nico Hulkenberg is in fourth and Charles Leclerc in fifth.
Sergio Perez is up in third after setting a fast lap time on the soft compounds.
Lando Norris had a helmet change when he was in the pits as Daniel Ricciardo is given a heads up that rain is on the way for the last few minutes of the practice session.

The sun is now shining; I shouldn't have put the extra cardigan on! I've got my shades on and there are a few people who have taken off their jumpers in the grandstands. The track is now bathed in sunshine in parts.
I think that is going to help with track temperatures - and that's going to help with lap times.
Lando Norris is topping the time sheet with a lap time of 1:26.549, his team-mate Oscar Piastri is three tenths behind him and Haas' Nico Hulkenberg sits in third.
A British podium?published at 16:32 British Summer Time 5 July

Is it wishful thinking to see an all-British podium
at the British Grand Prix?
Lando Norris and George Russell have won a grand prix each
so far this season, while Lewis Hamilton reached the podium in Spain.
The last time there was an all-British podium was at the
1968 US Grand Prix, where Jackie Stewart claimed the victory, Graham Hill in second
and John Surtees rounding up the top three.
We're yet to see an all-British podium at Silverstone.

In this session in particular, people tend to put on the softer tyres and really go for a qualifying run, thinking 'right, what have we got in terms of a lap time'. And then they'll settle down on the soft tyres and see if they can run them for a period of time, to see what they can get out of them in terms of a lifespan for the race - indeed, if they can use them in the race.

Getting Carlos Sainz woud be a huge signing for Alpine and they are a team that want to desperately do better and recapture some those glorious days they once had.
Max Verstappen is currently leading the timesheets and he's just put a set of new soft tyres on.
But he was the only person to come back into the pits at that time and he looks so cool, calm, relaxed. He's not letting anything, it seems, rattle him at all at the moment.
Cars are making their way into the pits and out. Verstappen is still the only one on the soft tyres. Stroll, Bottas and Hulkenberg remain on the white hard tyres.
