  1. 50 runs

50 up for Bearspublished at 12:01 British Summer Time 19 April

    Hampshire v Warwickshire 50-0

A bit loose from Alex Davies but his shot goes past gully for another boundary, this time off Mohammad Abbas.

That is the half-century stand for him and Rob Yates. Last week, they put on 343 for the first wicket!

  2. Postpublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 19 April

    Derbys v Leics 50-0

Definitely not Bazball on offer at Derby, but Leicestershire won't care about that with their opening pair still together.

Rishi Patel tucks Anuj Dal away for a couple in the 15th over as the total reaches a half-century and he advances to 29 not out.

  3. Postpublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 19 April

    Somerset v Notts 37-1

The Notts batters will breathe an audible sigh of relief as Craig Overton takes a breather and Lewis Gregory takes his place.

His first over costs four runs as Ben Slater takes a boundary.

Migael Pretorius has looked sharp since replacing Josh Davey, but Will Young shows signs of form with a lovely stroke for four as the South African overpitches.

A straight drove then brings Young another couple. A nice recovery from Notts.

  4. 'A really good catch from Holder'published at 11:57 British Summer Time 19 April

    Worcs v Durham 19-2

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

A really good catch from Holder and a really good start for Worcestershire after losing the toss.

  5. Postpublished at 11:57 British Summer Time 19 April

    Sussex v Glos 52-1

He was reaching for it a bit but Ollie Price makes a clean contact and punches Danny Lamb through the covers for three runs as Gloucestershire's total passes 50 in the 11th over at Hove.

  6. Postpublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 19 April

    Hampshire v Warwickshire 45-0

Rob Yates continues on his merry way here.

He takes a nice boundary off Ian Holland through the covers and a similar shot off the back foot from Kyle Abbott gets him four more in the next over.

    Yates now has 30.

  7. wicket

WICKET Lees c Holder b Smith 6published at 11:52 British Summer Time 19 April

    Worcs v Durham 19-2

    Take a bow Jason Holder!

Alex Lees pushes forward to the first ball of Nathan Smith's third over and it takes his outside edge.

It flies low to second slip where Holder takes a wonderful shin-high catch.

Smith is on fire in the early weeks of the season - that's his 11th wicket already.

  8. wicket

WICKET Bancroft lbw Lamb 27published at 11:51 British Summer Time 19 April

    Sussex v Glos 49-1

Ollie Robinson has been given a breather at Hove and replacement Danny Lamb strikes the first blow for Sussex.

The ball appears to just hold its line as Cameron Bancroft shapes to play to mid-wicket and umpire decides it is hitting.

The Aussie is gone for 27.

  9. Postpublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 19 April

    Somerset v Notts 26-1

Craig Overton will be wondering how he hasn't got more reward for a fine opening spell.

After teasing Will Young's outside edge umpteen times, he then takes a thick edge from Ben Slater's bat.

It drops agonisingly short of third slip's dive. Just one from the over.

  10. Postpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 19 April

    Worcs v Durham 15-1

Joe Leach overpitches slightly and Colin Ackermann takes full advantage to stroke the first boundary of the match.

Alex Lees then mirrors his fellow opener as he guides the first ball of Nathan Smith's second over to the rope.

It's hard work out there for the batters, mind you.

  12. Postpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 19 April

    Hampshire v Warwickshire 36-0

Perhaps surprisingly, Mohammad Abbas is withdrawn after four tight overs and Ian Holland is thrown the ball.

His second ball is a tad short but Rob Yates steers it backward of point for four to move to 21.

Hampshire had a problem with a left-handed opener last week as Lancashire's Keaton Jennings scored 172.

But that is better from Holland as he gets one past Yates' bat.

  13. Postpublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 19 April

    Sussex v Glos 41-0

Four Sussex slips are still in place and Ollie Robinson is striving might and main to provide a breakthrough.

But the England seamer strays onto Ben Charlesworth's pads at the start of the ninth over and is flicked away for four by the left-hander.

He is 10 not out and Cameron Bancroft has 23.

  14. Postpublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 19 April

    Somerset v Notts 23-1

Craig Overton is all over Will Young like a cheap suit.

He angles in a beauty which straightens and somehow, somehow, misses the edge.

Overton repeats the trick midway through the over, and Young will be relieved to clip him down to fine leg and get off strike for a mo.

As the picture shows, we are going to have play at Chelmsford.

The toss will take place at 11.45 and play will start at 12.15. But we have lost 12 overs in the day.

  16. Postpublished at 11:37 British Summer Time 19 April

    Hampshire v Warwickshire 31-0

That is a lovely shot from Rob Yates. It's little more than a firm push through the offside, but it beats the in-field and gets him four more runs.

Kookaburra confidence is spreading to facing the Dukes for these Warwickshire openers.

  18. wicket

WICKET Borthwick b Leach 0published at 11:33 British Summer Time 19 April

    Worcs v Durham 1-1

Not a happy 34th birthday for Scott Borthwick!

Joe Leach sends down a full ball which seams away from Borthwick's defensive prod forward and clips top of off-stump.

What a start for the Pears!

  19. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Lord'spublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 19 April

    Middx v Yorks 41-1

Just seven overs bowled at Lord's and the teams are back in the pavilion because of the weather.

Ethan Bamber's fourth of the morning yields five runs as Finlay Bean moves to 16 not out, with Shan Masood on eight.

Adam Lyth was the only batter dismissed thus far - messrs Root and Brook are the next two names on the Yorkshire batting list.

  20. Postpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 19 April

    Hampshire v Warwickshire 27-0

A contrast at the other end from Mohammad Abbas.

Two singles and 22 dots from his first four overs. The Pakistan bowler is on the money this morning as he has the batters playing.
