  1. WICKET Lloyd b Currie 5published at 15:38 21 April

    Derbyshire 167 & 72-3 v Leicestershire 574-7 dec

Another curious dismissal in Derby as Scott Currie bags his and Leicestershire's third wicket.

David Lloyd is absolutely flummoxed by dipping full toss from Currie, which he attempts to haul into the leg side thinking it's coming at head height.

Instead his off stump is knocked out of the ground and Lloyd is left lying down on the pitch starring at the heavens.

Eventually Lloyd hauls himself to his feet and trudges off.

  2. Postpublished at 15:38 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 179-6 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

Matthew Waite (25*) and Nathan Smith (24*) have struck a few boundaries to bring their partnership close to 50.

The Pears have to hope these two can stay in for as long as possible.

They will be wary that their side have lost quick wickets at key intervals in this game and tea is approaching.

  3. Northamptonshire declarepublished at 15:35 21 April

    Northants 605-6 dec v Glamorgan 271

Having seen Karun Nair reach his double century, Luke Procter brings the Northants first innings to a close by declaring.

They lead by 334 - and Nair batted for just over five and a half hours, faced 253 balls and hit two sixes and 21 fours.

Saif Zaib (100) helped add 212 for the sixth wicket, and let's not forget the contribution of Ricardo Vasconcelos, who made 182 at the top of the innings.

It is their highest score against Glamorgan at Wantage Road since making 712 all out in 1998, when Mal Loye made a triple century.

  4. Postpublished at 15:33 21 April

    Middx 98-3 - target 158

Have Middlesex got the measure of this task now?

Ryan Higgins shuffles a couple of steps out of his crease and clips Jordan Thompson to the mid-wicket boundary.

    Just 60 more needed.

  5. WICKET Reece lbw b Currie 28published at 15:28 21 April

    Derbyshire 167 & 72-2 v Leicestershire 574-7 dec

One brings two as the cricket cliche goes and Luis Reece will not want to see this one again.

He shoulders arms to a straight one and is struck plumb on the front pad by Scott Currie.

A complete misjudgment by the Derbyshire opener.

  6. Postpublished at 15:28 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 263-2

Notts have wiped out the deficit and now lead Somerset by two runs.

They started this morning 38-1, a not insignificant 223 runs behind Somerset, and lost Haseeb Hameed early to leave them on 48-2.

But since then there's been no joy for the hosts as Joe Clarke and Will Young have batted excellently.

The new ball, due soon, can't come soon enough for Lewis Gregory and his men.

  7. WICKET Patel c Garrett b Parkinson 30published at 15:27 21 April

    Kent 244 v Surrey 470-6

Matty Parkinson has taken a bit of punishment in this innings, but there is his fourth wicket as Ryan Patel is caught by George Garrett at mid-wicket.

Not a great shot and it brings Jordan Clark to the crease.

  8. 200 for Karun Nairpublished at 15:27 21 April

    Northants 605-6 v Glamorgan 271

A full toss by Brad Wheal is cleanly struck for four by Karun Nair to take the total up to 600 and he then adds three thanks to a wayward throw as he goes to 200 off 253 balls.

It's his highest score for Northants, having made 78, 150 and 21 in a brief spell at Wantage Road last summer.

  9. Postpublished at 15:23 21 April

    Middx 93-3 - target 158

Jordan Thompson is too full with that one and Ryan Higgins drills it to the left of mid-on for a welcome Middlesex boundary.

Another 65 needed by the home side for their first win since last season's relegation.

  10. WICKET Zaib c Douthwaite b Crane 100published at 15:18 21 April

    Northants 584-6 v Glamorgan 271

Northamptonshire have twice scored over 700 against Glamorgan in the Championship, so there's a way to go yet before we need to think about records.

Saif Zaib tries to hoist Mason Crane for a maximum over mid-wicket but Dan Douthwaite safely completes the palms up catch.

Zaib put on 212 with Karun Nair, who now has Lewis McManus for company, and is 192 not out following a sweep for four off Crane.

  11. WICKET Middleton c Bethell b Yates 116published at 15:17 21 April

    Hampshire 274-6 v Warwickshire 455

Fletch Middleton's vigil is over after 329 balls and 416 minutes.

He is undone by a bit of extra bounce from Rob Yates as the ball ricochets off the bat on to the pad and into the hands of Jacob Bethell at short leg.

  12. Maximum batting points for Surreypublished at 15:17 21 April

    Kent 244 v Surrey 457-5

A single by Ryan Patel takes Surrey's total to 450 in the 102nd over.

He celebrates by pulling Jas Singh powerfully for six over mid-wicket.

There are still 49 overs in the day after this one and you'd assume a declaration will come at some point.

  13. 250 up for Nottspublished at 15:15 21 April

    Somerset 454 v Notts 193 & 251-2

Will Young (77*) hits a four over the top of the mid-on fielder and his partnership with Joe Clarke (122*) is now worth 200.

    Notts only trail by 10.

  14. WICKET Came lbw b Currie 37published at 15:12 21 April

    Derbyshire 167 & 57-1 v Leicestershire 574-7 dec

A breakthrough for Leicestershire as Scott Currie strikes in his first over.

Harry Came shuffles across his stumps and attempts to work a full bunger from Currie but is struck on his heel and given out lbw.

Currie wags his finger in celebration.

  15. Postpublished at 15:12 21 April

    Middx 83-3 - target 158

It really is tense stuff at Lord's.

George Hill and Ben Coad continue to keep it tight with the ball and Middlesex are crawling towards their target at present.

Leus du Plooy is 19 not out and Ryan Higgins has two from 17 balls faced.

  16. 'Very, very well played Saif Zaib'published at 15:11 21 April

    Northants 565-5 v Glamorgan 271

    Andrew Radd
    BBC Radio Northampton

He turned it away down to long leg, we said that will be the percentage option.

Very, very well played Saif Zaib.

He acknowledges the applause from around the ground.

He's made that century which is his third in first-class cricket for Northamptonshire.

    It's come off 135 balls.

  17. Latest from Hovepublished at 15:10 21 April

    Sussex 457-8 v Gloucs 417

Gloucestershire have ginally got rid of John Simpson, who miscued a pull off Zaman Akhter and was caught by Miles Hammond for 78.

He put on 143 with Danny Lamb, who is now 73 not out and has been joined by Ollie Robinson. The Sussex lead is 40.

  18. Postpublished at 15:08 21 April

    Hampshire 273-5 v Warwickshire 455

Fletcha Middleton and Liam Dawson have put down the shutters since that flurry of Hampshire wickets with just 13 runs scored in 10 overs since the departure of Tom Prest earlier.

Gritty stuff at a chilly Southampton.

  19. 100 for Saif Zaibpublished at 15:06 21 April

    Northants 565-5 v Glamorgan 271

Saif Zaib has helped Karun Nair add 200 for the sixth wicket and is rewarded with his third first-class century as he flicks Dan Douthwaite down to backward square leg for a single.

It has taken him 135 balls and Northants now lead by 294.

  20. Libby 50 and outpublished at 15:04 21 April

    Worcs 184 & 142-6 v Durham 244 & 397-5 dec

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham have taken the all-important wicket of Jake Libby. Moments after he reached 50, for the second time in the game, he was out, caught at mid-wicket after mistiming a hook from a slow Ben Raine bouncer.

It was a big wicket because he was the man offering the most resistance while wickets had been falling regularly at the other end.

Four batsmen have departed since lunch and Durham will be hoping they can wrap this one up some time around tea. The Pears need someone to put a big partnership together if they are to see this game into day four.

There could be a few twists and turns yet, bit the hosts are really up against it now.
