I'm sweating just typing this. The papaya rules are in action as Lando Norris keeps Oscar Piastri out of reach by about half a second. It's all McLaren at this stage of the Austrian Grand Prix.

The lead is changing hands at every corner! Oscar Piastri takes P1 at Turn Three, only for Lando Norris to swpie it back at Turn Four. Piastri tries again on the inside a few moments later but the Briton closes the door - firmly.

Oscar Piastri has got to make a decision. In these hot temperatures, the more he sits within a second in that dirty air behind his team-mate will really play into degradation in his tyres.

Oscar Piastri is keeping on the rear of Lando Norris as the pair reach Turn Six. The Australian is creating pressure for the Briton, the gap between them is so small Piastri may have a chance here...

Pierre Gasly is the slowest of those in the top 10 so potentially already that soft tyre could be falling away for him.

The problem for Pierre Gasly, however, is he is a soft-tyre runner, so his pace cannot match the rest. And it shows, as Alex Albon takes his sixth place with easy.

It the melee of that opening-lap contact, Pierre Gasly has lifted himself from 10th to sixth place, and Alex Albon has gone from 12th to seventh.

Oscar Piastri's engineer lets us know the pair are free to race. He doesn't get an opportunity to pass this time, so Lando Norris is still ahead of his Australian team-mate.

What a disappointing day for Max Verstappen and it will be the first time this year that he has not been able to score points.

Turn Four is reached by the McLarens and Oscar Piastri takes a crack at race leader Lando Norris. It doesn't pay off this time, and he can't afford to eat into his tyres too much, but the Australian is definitely aiming for an early move.

George Russell says "Lewis just closed the door under braking," to his engineer, just as the cameras pan to Max Verstappen making a lonely walk back to the paddock. DRS is enabled, so Oscar Piastri is starting to cook up his attack on Lando Norris.

Charles Leclerc is all on the back of Oscar Piastri and also Lewis Hamilton is under immense pressure from George Russell as well.

Lando Norris stays ahead of Oscar Piastri, as Gabriel Bortoleto manages to stay alert and keep that eighth qualifying place. Lewis Hamilton in the Ferrari is being hassled by his old Mercedes team-mate George Russell for fourth place. The seven-time world champion still has it, but he's lost ground on Charles Leclerc in third.

Lando Norris leads from Oscar Piastri, but the Australian did try his luck on the Briton. Max Verstappen was an innocent bystander in that contact. The Red Bull was on the outside and as Kimi Antonelli went for the gap, he locked his rear and belted the Dutchman. A few more cars got caught up in that mess at Turn Three.

That was Kimi Antonelli who just locked up the brakes and steamed all the way down the inside and hit Max Verstappen, that will be game over.

That was a bit of a desperate move for Antonelli who was just way too late on the brakes.

More drama in Spielberg. The home driver, the man who has five wins here, is out of the Austrian Grand Prix! Kimi Antonelli is chatting with Max Verstappen now but this is a disaster for the two drivers.

Lando Norris keeps hold of the lead but Charles Leclerc has been overtaken by Charles Leclerc.

But contact for Kimi Antonelli! The Italian has locked up and is out of the grand prix - and has he taken Max Verstappen with him? Yes! The Dutchman is out on lap one!
