    There are so many people around the track getting excited and buzzed up and because the race hasn't quite got under way, it has just got everyone more excited.

    This might lead to more mistakes because it has thrown everybody just a little bit.

    It's not uncommon to see brakes catch fire in Formula 1, if the car comes to rest after running for quite a while, but he hasn't been running for quite a while, he's done one formation lap. I think something else has gone wrong with that car.

    As the rest of the competitors get back in the zone, this was the moment Carlos Sainz's brakes caught fire, causing a mad dash by the Williams crew to put out the flames.

    Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso tells Aston Martin he cannot explain how hot his seat is right now. His poor bum is roasting.

    And now George Russell informs Mercedes to get a load of water for the team on the grid, because they are sweating.

    I can smell the brakes on Carlos Sainz' Williams and I'm stationed at pit in, he's at pit exit, the smell is so strong.

    Lots of the Williams mechanics are trying to work out what to do and Carlos Sainz is still in the car at the moment.

    This is a very difficult weekend for Williams, they've had all sorts of incidents and problems going on and now this as well.

    Well that was chaotic. Carlos Sainz peels off to the pit lane and the rest of the field prepares to start again. And now the car is on fire! The Williams team members have rushed over to put the flames out at the rear of the Spaniard's car, and Sainz is fine.

    Carlos Sainz is still on the grid and a lot of the mechanics have not been allowed to cross the track as well.

    The marshals are now pushing the Williams out of the way.

    Sainz has now got going, how bizarre!

    And now Carlos Sainz has got going! The Williams driver is making his way around the Red Bull Ring but the grid is now full of team members again.

    Lando Norris was being sprayed down with some blue liquid before he fully suited up a few moments ago. Drivers up and down the grid are sweating, the scorching weather causing concern for the 71 laps of high-speed compeititon that lies ahead.

    The top nine are all starting on the brand new mediums, Pierre Gasly the outlier in 10th on the soft compound. Isack Hadjar, Franco Colapinto, Oliver Bearman and Nico Hulkenberg are also soft runners from the off.
