  1. wicket

WICKET: Ackermann lbw b Cook 112published at 17:14 British Summer Time 26 April

    Durham 328-7 v Essex

Essex have a wicket in the sixth over of the second new ball.

Sam Cook gets one to nip back on Colin Ackermann and beat his inside edge to catch him in front of middle and leg.

He's not that far forward and it's a decent guess that that will go on to take a decent piece of leg stump.

A fine innings comes to an end - Ackermann's maiden century for his new club.

  2. Division Two round-uppublished at 17:07 British Summer Time 26 April

    #bbccricket

A welcome landmark for George Bartlett at Grace Road, as he drives Tom Scriven to the third man boundary to bring up his first half-century for Northamptonshire.

The visitors are ticking along well at 286-4 against Leicestershire, with Bartlett on 53 and James Sales on 10 not out at the other end.

At Bristol, Gloucestershire have recovered from the early loss of Chris Dent against Middlesex, with Ollie Price and Cameron Bancroft taking them to 29-1 in reply to the visitors' total of 203.

  3. 150 runs

Ben Duckett soars past 150published at 17:02 British Summer Time 26 April

    Nottinghamshire 312-4 v Warwickshire

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

It's becoming the Ben Duckett show at the moment.

19 boundaries so far in his 165 not out. Within sight of a fifth career double century.

When he's seeing it like this, it must be very difficult for the opposition captain because you bowl him a good ball, he's good enough to put it into any space he wants.

You bowl him a bad ball and he'll absolutely slam it away.

He's a high quality player in the best form of his life at the moment with the confidence to take down any attack and that's a dangerous combination.

Jack Haynes also going well still on 69.

  4. new ball

New ball at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 26 April

    Durham 323-6 v Essex

Simon Harmer and Matt Critchley have got through 38 overs between them today.

Which means they're actually ahead of schedule! God Bless Spin.

So it's already time for the second new ball and back come Jamie Porter and Sam Cook to try and get through the Durham lower order.

Colin Ackermann still there on 111.

  5. Close of play at Headingleypublished at 16:58 British Summer Time 26 April

    Yorks 276-3 v Derbys

Sadly, the rain arrived during the tea interval at Headingley and it hasn't cleared up - so there'll be no further play today.

All being well, Yorkshire will resume in the morning with Joe Root on 65 and Harry Brook 44.

  6. wicket

WICKET: Aldridge lbw b Waite 9published at 16:56 British Summer Time 26 April

    Somerset 210-7 v Worcestershire

Matthew Waite claims a second wicket as he earns an LBW decision against Kasey Aldridge.

New man in to join Tom Banton is South African Migael Pretorius.

  7. 'It's not an easy surface'published at 16:54 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 47-4 v Hants 151

    Roland Butcher
Former Middlesex and England batter on BBC Radio London

It's not an easy surface because it's not a wicket you play on the up.

The bowlers really haven't allowed the batters to get on top of them because there has always been something happening with ball.

The majority of the day we've had cloud cover, no sun, so it's made it very difficult for the batters.

  8. wicket

WICKET: Lawrence lbw b Abbott 2published at 16:48 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 44-4 v Hants 151

Well this is not what we're used to seeing from Surrey.

Shoot-out cricket on a slippery pitch at the moment.

A 14th wicket of the day that leaves things not far from even.

Kyle Abbott nips one back into Dan Lawrence from a full length, Lawrence falls over a little and gets nailed on the front pad.

Alex Wharf takes his time but raises his finger. Replays back up the decision.

  9. 100 for Colin Ackermannpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 26 April

    Durham 304-6 v Essex

Colin Ackermann goes to his first century for Durham!

He's glued things together for his side today.

First having the best seat in the ground to watch Ollie Robinson stroke the hosts back into the day.

And then going on to make his 25th first-class hundred.

    199 balls and seven fours.

Not really what Durham have been about in the past year or so but the best teams always have a healthy mix of styles and Ackermann has proved his worth here.

A second batting point also on the board for the home side.

  10. 50 runs

Half-century for Jack Haynespublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 276-4 v Warwickshire

Jack Haynes goes to his half-century for Notts at Edgbaston.

The former Worcestershire man - son of ex-Pears all-rounder Gavin Haynes - missed out on a ton here on his one previous visit in first-class cricket back in May 2001, when he was run out for 87.

But, given how well set he and Ben Duckett look, he could make up for that this time.

  11. 50 runs

Half-century for Tom Bantonpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 26 April

    Somerset 201-6 v Worcestershire

Tom Banton goes to his half-century - the 11th of his first-class career.

And Somerset go past 200 at Chester Road.

Banton was educated just up the road at Bromsgrove School, played for both Worcestershire and Warwickshire as a junior and also played club cricket at nearby Barnt Green, where his brother Jacques still plays.

Kasey Aldridge is helping Banton get things back on course after those three quick Somerset wickets before tea,

  12. Division Two round-uppublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 26 April

    #bbccricket

Rehan Ahmed has his first wicket of the game - and it's an important one, as Northamptonshire captain Luke Procter chops on at Grace Road.

The visitors are 249-4 against Leicestershire now as they approach a first batting bonus point.

Meanwhile, Middlesex's Ethan Bamber has made an early breakthrough at Bristol as Gloucestershire reply to their opponents' 203 all out.

Chris Dent has gone for three and Gloucestershire are 5-1.

  13. wicket

WICKET: Carse lbw b Cook 18published at 16:21 British Summer Time 26 April

    Durham 275-6 v Essex

Essex strike just after tea and pick up a second point.

Slightly concerningly, one from Sam Cook shoots through very low from just back of a length.

Poor Brydon Carse is pinned in the crease in front of middle and leg.

  14. Teatime scoreboardpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 26 April

Edgbaston: Nottinghamshire 245-4 (64 overs) Warwickshire

    Kidderminster: Somerset 181-6 (63.3 overs) v Worcestershire

    Division Two

  15. wicket

WICKET AND TEApublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 26 April

    Surrey 41-3 (Smith b Wheal 13) v Hants 151

Hampshire have another in the last over before tea.

Jamie Smith, like Dom Sibley before him, get a beauty that straightens past the outside edge and flattens the off pole.

Very nice from Brad Wheal and Hampshire are fighting hard to stay in the game having been shot out earlier.

  16. Tea at Edgbastonpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 26 April

    Notts 245-4 v Warwickshire

Ben Duckett goes to tea on 130 in Birmingham.

It's his second century here at Edgbaston, where he has also twice won the T20 Blast with his former county Northamptonshire.

Jack Haynes has so far clubbed six boundaries in his 37.

    BBC CWR's Clive Eakin:

"It's been an evenish session. It's fluctuated. But Notts are still in a pretty good position."

  17. Tea at Headingleypublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 26 April

    Yorkshire 276-3 v Derbyshire

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

It's been an excellent Joe Root sort of an innings.

He's just taken his time, kept the scoreboard ticking, put the ball away and it is an 125th first-class 50, of which he has gone on to convert 43 into hundreds.

It's not bad. Well played Joe.

  18. 'That does not happen very often'published at 16:04 British Summer Time 26 April

    Hants 151, Surrey 25-2

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

    This game is alive.

Ollie Pope is out for 13. Make a note of that because that does not happen very often, especially at The Oval.

It is important that Hampshire get amongst the wickets and that is an absolutely huge wicket.

  19. Bad light stops play at Headingleypublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 26 April

    Yorks 276-3 v Derbys

Looks as though those spectators who've turned up to watch Joe Root and Harry Brook in action for Yorkshire might have to be patient as the players are off now for bad light.

So they'll go for tea now with Root on 65 and Brook purring along nicely with 44 not out from 37 balls against the Derbyshire attack.

It's also tea at Grace Road, where Northamptonshire are well placed on 242-3 against hosts Leicestershire.

  20. Tea at Nevil Roadpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 26 April

    Middlesex 203 v Gloucestershire

Middlesex are all out at Bristol.

Marchant de Lange has now earned his sixth wicket - in the same over as his fifth. Figures of 6-49 off 16 overs. A superb effort.

Josh De Caires, who made 37 off 77 balls, top scored for Middlesex.

Ethan Bamber was left stranded on 1, after Henry Brookes was caught and bowled by Graeme van Buuren to end the innings.
