The reason Fernando Alonso is annoyed is because Aston Martin tried to use the gap built by [Liam] Lawson, who was holding up the rest of the field for [Isack] Hadjar to drop into, but they dropped Alonso in behind Hadjar and he's on hard tyres and Hadjar is on the soft and so Alonso couldn't get past him.

Lando Norris has just set the fastest lap and he was told by his race engineer that they were seeing graining on the left front [tyre] and sometimes you get that when you go too slowly.

You sometimes need to go faster to get the tyre to melt and then it doesn't cut quite so much.

The pace is going up and gaps are now appearing behind the leaders.
