  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 24 June

    Drissell c Hudson-Prentice b Sandhu 8 (Durham 301-7 v Sussex 361)

Durham have brought up their 300 and a second batting point but then the good work is thrown away.

George Drissell took 20 balls to get off the mark so when he tries to smash Gurinder Sandhu into the next county it takes us by surprise and he is caught by a sliding Fynn Hudson-Prentice in the deep.

  2. Postpublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwickshire 185-3 v Somerset 498

Big appeal from James Rew, Jack Leach and co, but nothing doing, turn but no outside edge the last ball of Jack Leach's first over today.

Sam Hain survives on a battling, unlike him, 6* off 37 balls.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 24 June

    Taylor lbw Fisher 6 (Worcs 214 & 119-7 v Surrey 291)

    And another one...

Tom Taylor has already got a massive edge down to deep third for four when he was aiming over mid wicket.

He tries to execute the same shot and is trapped lbw by Matthew Fisher.

Four wickets have gone down for seven runs with four apiece in the innings for Fisher and Nathan Smith.

    The lead is 42 runs.

  4. Tough first hour for Durhampublished at 12:13 British Summer Time 24 June

    Durham 286-6 v Sussex 361

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It's been a tough first hour for Durham, with runs hard to come by in overcast and humid conditions in CLS.

Ollie Robinson has kept things really tight from the Lumley End, while Gurinder Sandhu and Jofra Archer have added to the pressure from the Finchale End.

One wicket has fallen. Graham Clark was caught behind for 51 off Robinson, trying to hook a short ball. He added only five to his overnight score.

His replacement George Drissell has been watchful. It took him 20 balls to get off the mark, just as it did for James Coles in the Sussex first innings. He went on to make 148* though.

  5. Postpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 296 v Hants 373-5

Spin from both ends for Essex as they try to break this sixth-wicket partnership between Tom Prest (34) and Liam Dawson (118).

Simon Harmer has now bowled 45 overs, with both he and Matt Critchley extracting decent turn and bounce.

    Warwickshire 185-3 v Somerset 498

    Harry Everett
    BBC Sport from Edgbaston

That is one of the deliveries of the match so far and also one of the best defensive shots too.

Jacob Bethell does very well to dig out a fast yorker from Migael Pretorius who is going wide of the crease around the wicket.

Somerset still only have used the three main seamers today, Josh Davey still nursing that ankle knock he suffered yesterday.

As I type that Jack Leach comes on from the Pavilion End!

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 24 June

    Brookes b Fisher 0 (Worcs 214 & 113-7 v Surrey 291)

Yeah, this might be all over quite quickly.

Matthew Fisher raps the pads of Ethan Brookes and up goes the finger for lbw but the ball rolls back and strikes the stumps so it's out bowled.

I don't think Brookes cares - he's walking back for a duck either way.

Three wickets have fallen for the addition of one run after the overnight pair had added 66 runs for the fifth wicket.

  8. Division Two latest...published at 12:06 British Summer Time 24 June

Leicestershire v Glamorgan match actionImage source, Rex Features

Leaders Leicestershire are still piling on the runs against Glamorgan. They've moved to 426-5 off 94 overs and are on course for the full five batting bonus points. The Foxes lead by 73.

Moments after going to his century, Northants all-rounder Saif Zaib fell to spinner Zafar Gohar, who now has five wickets.

Lewis McManus was out shortly after for 71 to leave them 350-7 and Middlesex are right back in it with an advantage of 63 still.

Lancashire have just lost their first wicket of the day in Blackpool against Kent. Nightwatchman Tom Bailey is the batter to fall to leave them 167-2.

In Bristol, Gloucestershire are 77-2 in their second innings against Derbyshire and still need 133 to avoid an innings defeat.

  9. 'Somerset have bowled with total control'published at 12:01 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwickshire 182-3 v Somerset 498

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

All morning Somerset have bowled with total control, they have barely given a freebie.

    Matt Henry was immaculate.

We have only seen 24 runs scored in over an hour now this morning.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 24 June

    Hose c Lawes b N Smith 40 (Worcs 214 & 113-6 v Surrey 291)

    That's the one Surrey wanted.

Adam Hose goes on the pull and the same combination of bowler Nathan Smith and square-leg fielder Tom Lawes do the job.

Two wickets have fallen for one run - could this finish quickly now?

The Worcestershire lead is only 36 runs.

  11. Postpublished at 11:58 British Summer Time 24 June

    Durham 275-6 v Sussex 361

    Some tight bowling from Sussex.

George Drissell has now faced 17 balls and is yet to get off the mark.

You just feel if Sussex can run through these remaining Durham four wickets there might still be a result to be had.

  12. Postpublished at 11:58 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwickshire 182-3 v Somerset 498

Migael Pretorius replaces Matt Henry to try his luck from the City End now.

1-50 he has off 14 overs with three maidens thus far.

    Two slips in place.

  13. 100 runs

100 for Finlay Beanpublished at 11:53 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 487 v Yorkshire 180-4

It was a nervous wait, but Finlay Bean gets through to his sixth first-class hundred.

It's the first time he has reached that landmark in a year and a day - he's held this Yorkshire innings together magnificently.

  14. Postpublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwickshire 179-3 v Somerset 498

A tiny tickle saves Sam Hain there and he gets a single off it so he is 3 off 16 balls.

Otherwise that was plumb in front.

Jacob Bethell takes a middle stump guard to Matt Henry who is asking many questions this morning.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 24 June

    Allison c Lawes b N Smith 27 (Worcs 214 & 112-5 v Surrey 291)

    A breakthrough for Surrey.

Ben Allison had already pulled Nathan Smith for a boundary in this over but when he tries to repeat it he gets a top edge and Tom Lawes takes a well-judged catch coming off the deep square-leg fence.

Allison more than did his job as nightwatchman.

Ethan Brookes is next in with Worcestershire leading by 35 runs.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 24 June

    Moriarty c McCann b Patterson-White 8 (Notts 487 v Yorkshire 176-4)

Liam Patterson-White has troubled Dan Moriarty all morning and eventually removes the usual tail-ender.

It's a nick through to Freddie McCann at slip, which brings Yorkshire captain Jonny Bairstow to the middle.

Finlay Bean has been on 98 for a fair while now.

  17. Postpublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 24 June

    Durham 273-6 v Sussex 361

It's a bit murky at the Riverside so we've got the floodlights cranking into action.

The little bit of drizzle which was falling has relented so we haven't lost any play so far today.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:47 British Summer Time 24 June

    Davies c Kohler-Cadmore b Overton 78 (Warwickshire 178-3 v Somerset 498)

    What a catch!

Tom Kohler-Cadmore again, just like that incredible one handed effort that saw him dismiss Daniel Sams right at the end of that thrilling T20 Blast final here two seasons ago!

Low to his right, not his left this time, and Alex Davies' defensive prod sees his end.

    The follow-on target is 349 don't forget.

  19. Elsewhere in Division Two...published at 11:46 British Summer Time 24 June

    Century for Saif Zaib

Northants all-rounder Saif Zaib has just gone to his century against Middlesex. His sixth-wicket stand with Lewis McManus (66 not out) is now worth 145 and Northants are 342-5.

They trail Middlesex by just 71.

Lancashire are ticking along against Kent as they look to build a first-innings lead. The hosts are 145-1 in Blackpool in reply to Kent's 374.

After a 30 minute delay, day three has started between Gloucestershire and Derbyshire in Bristol.

The hosts are 72-2 in their second innings and still need 139 to make Derbyshire bat again.

  20. 6 runs

Postpublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 296 v Hants 337-5

Having reached his hundred, Liam Dawson appears keen to get on with things and grow Hampshire's lead.

He flicks Shane Snater over midwicket for six.
