  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 24 June

    Haines b Potts 12 (Durham 327 v Sussex 361 & 27-3)

The Sussex lead is 61 runs.

Eight wickets have fallen today for 105 runs.

  3. 500 for Leicestershirepublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 24 June

    Leicestershire 501-7 v Glamorgan 353

Leicestershire lead by 148 now as a Logan van Beek single off Mason Crane takes them to half a thousand.

They could declare soon, or more likely just bat until all out and try and skittle Glamorgan to win by an innings sometime tomorrow.

  4. SURREY BEAT WORCESTERSHIRE BY NINE WICKETSpublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 24 June
    Breaking

    Worcs 214 & 125 v Surrey 291 & 53-1

Clinical and professional from the reigning champions.

Nathan Smith (6-38) and Matthew Fisher (4-47) ran through Worcestershire's remaining six wickets this morning after a 66-run stand between Adam Hose (40) and Ben Allison (27).

A target of 49 was never going to trouble Surrey and, for now, they are top of the table.

Worcestershire are bottom and, on this evidence. they might be oiling the hinges on the trapdoor.

  5. 6 runs

Postpublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 214 & 125 v Surrey 291 & 46-1 (target 49)

Ryan Patel sends Fateh Singh over the rope and Surrey are almost there.

  6. Postpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwickshire 235-5 v Somerset 498

Craig Overton is bowling really well now, great lines just outside off and the length is drawing the right-handers in.

The latest fiddle is from new young wicketkeeper Kai Smith, falling just shy of Tom Kohler-Cadmore at slip.

  7. Postpublished at 14:06 British Summer Time 24 June

    Lancs 244-2 v Kent 374

Lancashire appear to have come out in attacking mood at Stanley Park. Grant Stewart is too full and Luke Wells lofts it over mid-off and away for four as he moves to 116 not out.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:05 British Summer Time 24 June

  9. wicket

    Dawson c Pepper b Jones 139 (Essex 296 v Hants 405-8)

    Mackenzie JonesImage source, Rex Features

A maiden first-class wicket for Mackenzie Jones.

The tall Scotland seamer gets Liam Dawson to fend at one outside off stump and Michael Pepper takes a good catch away to his right.

Dawson departs for a superb 139 and Essex are one step closer to batting again.

  10. Postpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwickshire 235-5 v Somerset 498

Sam Hain still has this leg side ring field for the seamers, four now catching in a cordon from short mid on to short backward square leg.

  11. 6 runs

Postpublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 24 June

    Lancs 234-2 v Kent 374

Grant Stewart drops short and Josh Bohannon pulls it with authority over square leg for a maximum. He moves to 27 not out and Kent badly need to break this partnership with centurion Luke Wells.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 24 June

    Organ c Westley b Critchley 4 (Essex 296 v Hants 405-7)

    BBC Radio WM commentator

That is so uncharacteristic of Ed Barnard.

I do not think he can quite believe the shot that he played.

  14. Postpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 24 June

    Durham 327 v Sussex 361 & 16-1

Umpires Peter Hartley and Tom Lungley are convening for a chat.

It has got very gloomy at the Riverside and the clouds look loaded with the wet stuff.

The ground staff don't seem bothered though - they're sitting down after working hard during the lunch break - they know a thing or two about the weather but play continues for now.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 24 June

    Barnard c Rew b Overton 4 (Warwickshire 235-5 v Somerset 498)

Playing a nothing sort of shot is not a phrase you would associate with a reliable county allrounder like Ed Barnard, but that is a bonus wicket for the away side.

Craig Overton now has 3-46 in his first game as captain whilst Lewis Gregory is on paternity leave.

  16. Postpublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 487 v Yorkshire 241-4

Finlay Bean continues on his merry way after lunch, punching a full ball from Farhan Ahmed through the covers for four.

It probably should have been stopped, but Bean won't care.

  17. Bonus points all done & dusted in Leicesterpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 24 June

    Leicestershire 483-7 v Glamorgan 353

110 overs gone by and Glamorgan just took the seven Foxes wickets, so missed out on that third and final bowling bonus point.

A 30 run partnership already for the final wicket between Logan van Beek and Ben Green as they lead by 130 runs now.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 24 June

    Sibley c Libby b Singh 8 (Worcs 214 & 125 v Surrey 291 & 24-1 - target 49)

    Why has he done that?

Just 25 runs are required by Surrey and Dom Sibley tries to launch Fateh Singh into orbit but just spoons it high into the air and Jake Libby takes a good catch.

  19. Postpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 24 June

    Lancs 225-2 v Kent 374

The good news at Blackpool is that the rain which forced a slightly early lunch has passed and they have started the afternoon session on time.

After one ball from Jack Leaning to complete his interrupted over, Grant Stewart will continue at the other end.

  20. Back on at Grace Roadpublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 24 June

    Leicestershire 472-7 v Glamorgan 353

Ben Green scores the first run of the afternoon session off Timm van der Gugten to go to 7*.
