    Notts 487 v Yorkshire 388-5

Finlay Bean and Matt Revis continue to accumulate runs for Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire skipper Haseeb Hameed brings himself into the attack.

There's a bit of turn there for the former England opening bat, but not a great control of length.

This match feels destined for a draw.

  2. Postpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time

    Essex 296 & 90-3 v Hants 453

Essex aren't going anywhere quickly in their second innings.

Matt Critchley and Tom Westley are grafting their way towards the close with their team still 67 runs behind.

There are seven overs left in the day.

  3. 50 runs

50 partnership for Glamorganpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time

    Leicestershire 576-7 dec v Glamorgan 353 & 88-3

Decent rebuilding from Colin Ingram and Sam Northeast, the two experienced pros in this top-middle order for Glamorgan.

Ben Green as an impressively miserly 0-3 off seven overs!

Stop the ride, Kent want to get off.

Matt Parkinson dishes up a full toss and Josh Bohannon smacks it away for six.

He moves to 115 and the lead to 91 runs.

  6. 150 runs

150 Partnershippublished at 17:27 British Summer Time

    Lancs 454-3 v Kent 374

The milestones keep coming at Blackpool and Josh Bohannon (108) and Ashton Turner (89) mark their 150 stand with a punch of the gloves.

Mind you if a player safely negotiates the stairs these days they seem to have to punch gloves.

  7. 450 up for Lancashirepublished at 17:26 British Summer Time

    Lancs 451- 3 v Kent 374

A scampered brace brings up the Lancashire 450.

The lead grows to 77 - Kent could still be put under some pressure tomorrow.

Just over 25 overs remain in the day.

  8. Raining at Durhampublished at 17:22 British Summer Time

    Durham 327 v Sussex 361 & 111-4

We are still off at the Riverside from when the light deteriorated but it is now raining quite heavily.

It looks like it might be set in for a while.

'It looks like it might be October time out there," says BBC Radio Newcastle commentator Martin Emmerson.

We won't hold our breath for a resumption then Martin!

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:20 British Summer Time

    Tom Kohler-Cadmore c Barnard b Bamber 12 (Warwickshire 351 v Somerset 498 & 24-1)

Oh, first curse of the text commentator today, maybe that was reckless...

Tom Kohler-Cadmore plays a loose drive off Ethan Bamber hard and clean to mid on where Ed Barnard takes the catch.

First innings centurion replaced by another first innings centurion in Tom Lammonby.

  10. Postpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time

    Warwickshire 351 v Somerset 498 & 24-0

A positive but not rapid nor reckless start by Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Josh Davey.

Just going through the motions off Ollie Hannon-Dalby and Ethan Bamber.

    Somerset's lead is 171.

    What a knock.

Finlay Bean goes to his first double century in first-class cricket with a single into the leg side.

He has struck one six and 27 fours and receives a warm round of applause from the Trent Bridge crowd.

He has held Yorkshire's innings together superbly, showing composure and no shortage of quality to dampen Nottinghamshire's hopes of victory.

  14. Bad light stops playpublished at 17:08 British Summer Time

    Durham 327 v Sussex 361 & 111-4

...You do the Hokey Cokey and you turn around (see 16:29 BST).

We're off again at the Riverside for bad light.

This will be a fourth weather-related break.

    Cox lbw b Jack 12 (Essex 296 & 77-3 v Hants 453)

Eddie Jack celebrates wicketImage source, Rex Features

    This one is out.

It's easy to see why England like the look of young Eddie Jack, who has bowled aggressive lines with good pace throughout this match.

He thunders one into Jordan Cox's pads and gets the decision, having thought he had Tom Westley not long ago.

  16. How will Somerset play this?published at 16:59 British Summer Time

    Warwickshire 351 v Somerset 498 & 0-0

The players return at Edgbaston, Craig Overton having requested the light roller.

Josh Davey and Tom Kohler-Cadmore put on 186 before both falling a run apart in the first innings, they two open here again.

Ethan Bamber, the last man out, will take the first over.

  17. Postpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time

    Lancs 418-3 v Kent 374

Ashton Tuner belts Wes Agar away for his third six of the innings.

The ball rattles around the concrete benches at Blackpool before bouncing rather resignedly back onto the field.

This is no fun for the bowlers but spare a thought for the ball as well...

  18. Postpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time

    Essex 296 & 67-2 v Hants 453

A huge appeal for lbw from Eddie Jack and Hampshire after the seamer skids one through onto the front pad of Tom Westley.

No response from the umpire, but that looks very close...

  19. 50 runs

50 for Glamorgan in their 2nd inningspublished at 16:54 British Summer Time

    Bamber lbw b Leach 13 (Warwickshire 351 all out v Somerset 498)

Three runs after they avoided the follow on, Somerset bowl Warwickshire out.

A lead of 147 plus whatever Somerset score in this next innings for Warwickshire to probably not chase, but loom ahead of them tomorrow.

29.1 overs, 2-103 from Jack Leach who wraps things up.
