Peter McGrail and Paige Murney are in boxing action for England today and that will be one of my first stops.

McGrail took up the sport aged 10 and the 21-year-old finished third at the World Championships last year.

The southpaw is a product of the elite GB Boxing setup at Sheffield’s English Institute of Sport - where Anthony Joshua still trains.

I was there two weeks ago and all of the Commonwealth Games fighters have their own sheet stapled to the wall identifying items they must work on. It may be their movement backwards, it may be their head movement. Whatever it is, GB Boxing have the tools to put it right.

There’s an altitude chamber so they can do pad work in hard conditions, five rings and coaching from the likes of Rob McCracken and former world super-middleweight champion Richie Woodhall.

Murney competes at 09:47 BST, McGrail at 10:02 BST. Both are at the last-16 stage of their weight category.

England table tennis player Tin-Tin Ho has quite a back story.

Her father named her Tin-Tin not after the comic book character but because it gave her the initials TT as in table tennis because he loves the sport.

She also has a brother called Ping!

I promise you I'm not making this up.

"It's quite embarrassing," says Tin-Tin. "He's really obsessed with table tennis so it's like, TT, table tennis, Tin-Tin."

By the way, the must-have guest on the breakfast TV sofas this morning Down Under was Georgia Lear.

The 19-year-old dancer revealed on social media that it was her bare backside that momentarily appeared mid-routine at Wednesday's opening ceremony.

Lear (in purple in the Instagram post above) shook off her wardrobe malfunction in style.

“Last night I was feeling really BUMMED … BUTT that’s all BEHIND me now!” she wrote in her photo caption.

“I hope you all had a CRACKING good time watching the ceremony. Don’t forget the camera adds 5kgs, yes it was me!”
