I have just spotted Wales women captain Leah Wilkinson who had to leave the pitch with a serious head injury against England yesterday.

She's passed the concussion test and there's no fracture - she just has to get the swelling down for Tuesday's match v South Africa

England's Townsend takes the leadpublished at 01:24 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    Para-triathlon

What a finish we have ahead in this Para-triathlon. England's Joe Townsend is much quicker than leader Nic Beveridge through the final transition and takes the lead of the race! They have 5km left and are now racing in racing wheelchairs rather than hand cycles. Pre-race favourite Bill Chaffey has dropped way back after that crash but can finally get out of his battered hand cycle after reaching transition.

Never challenge a gymnast to a dance-off. Obviously.

If you needed any further evidence beyond common sense, England's Dominick Cunningham - who missed out on qualification for this final behind team-mates Nile Wilson and James Hall - provides it.

As the gymnasts' travelling circus packs up and heads round to the fourth rotation, the team final gold medalist is picked out in the stands by a television camera and body pops for his life.

The camera pans off him to see if any other spectators fancy following that. They don't. Back to Dominick cutting some serious rug.

All this sport and coverage doesn’t just happen you know. Organisers here think of everything they possibly can to provide a Games experience the world will sing about.

Take the media transport. Given events are dotted all over the region they’ve put on a bus service which will take you 800m to the bowls or 60 miles to Brisbane for cycling. They’ve also waived all costs if you use public transport. Small cogs in a massive system to make this event happen.

Stewards, catering, security, even new sand for the beach (because the texture of the beach here didn’t meet volleyball regulations), that’s what £1.1bn goes on. They’ve even built a handy app for fools like me who can’t get from A to B without ending up at Z.

Big crash in the Para-triathlonpublished at 01:11 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    Para-triathlon

Oh no!! A big crash from five-time world champion Bill Chaffey! The Australian comes in to a bend too quick and smashes into the barriers. His hand cycle is in tatters. It's now missing one handle and something came off the bottom.

He was closing big time on leader Nic Beveridge but I'm not sure he's going to be able to close the gap now despite getting his hand cycle going again.

Hall ahead after twopublished at 01:04 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    Men's all-around final

So two rounds down and England's James Hall is sitting pretty in second - he leads the home nations contenders at the moment on 27.100.

His team-mate Nile Wilson put in another safe performance on the pommel horse in the second rotation and sits on a total of 26.400, but he's only in ninth place going into the third rotation of the day.

Both Wales' James Cook, who sits on 26.850 ahead of the parallel bars, and Scotland's Frank Baines are ahead of the Englishman in fourth and eighth.

Wilson doesn't look panicked though, this is a controlled performance so far from the gold medal favourite and there's still a long way to go in this competition.

Nic Beveridge really is flying here, but I think Bill Chaffey has to be favourite. I'm sure the five-time world champion will catch up to Nic as the race progresses.

England's Mark Conway is also doing a brilliant job at the moment, making this look very easy.

    Para-triathlon

Nic Beveridge is still out in front, now racing around the streets of the Gold Coast in his hand cycle. He laps one athlete at some serious speed but Bill Chaffey is also whizzing along behind him. England's Mark Conway is back in third leading the home nations charge.

There's a battle on over in the table tennis. It's the team event quarter-finals and England are playing Canada. Not a great start to the day.

Carter starts well for Scotlandpublished at 00:43 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    Men's all-around final

So after the first rotation of the men's all-around final, it's Scotland's Hamish Carter who leads the field after an outstanding performance on the floor.

Carter posted a score of 14.600, but he's just come off the pommel horse in his second piece of apparatus and will lose points there. What a shame.

England's Nile Wilson also put in a solid performance on the floor scoring 13.800 with James Hall posting 13.550.
