This will be a tough match for Wales who are ranked 24th in the world compared to Malaysia ranked in 12th but I reckon Wales will snatch this!

The sun is shining for Australia as they are back on the perch at the top of the medal table. There’s a sense of momentum building here. Remember, it was always going to be a tough ask for England to do it again. When they topped the pile in 2014 it was the first time since 1986.

It’s a tall order and speaking of tall orders, I’m heading to beach volleyball later today. Transport permitting, I’ll see Chris Gregory and Jake Sheaf in action against Cyprus. Gregory is 6ft 10in and took up volleyball in 2008 when he was being spotted by a talent identification process called ‘sporting giants’ which assessed tall people and matched them to sports.

As ever we want to hear from you tonight.

I'm particularly interested in where you are following the action from. Are you at home on the sofa? Watching from under the duvet? Perhaps having a sneaky peak at the gymnastics results while on a night out (we won't tell anyone I promise)? Please do let us know on Twitter at #bbcgoldcoast. Pictures are welcome as always.

England's Nile Wilson is the hot favourite for gold in the men's all-around final.

But his tricks extend further than the gym floor. The 22-year-old is quite the cheeky chappy and has been up to no good in the athlete's village.

He's even got his own YouTube channel, and earlier today was forced to apologise after leaking diver Tom Daley's mobile number to the world.

Have a watch here, external if you're in need of an early morning giggle!

    Gymnastics - men's all-around final

Plenty of home nations contenders in the men's all-around final this morning/night... who knows what time it is. But you want to stay awake for this one!

England's two gymnasts qualified in first and second, they both start on the floor along with the top six qualifiers including Scotland's Hamish Carter.

England: Nile Wilson and James Hall

Scotland: Hamish Carter and Frank Baines

Wales: Josh Cook and Clinton Purnell

    Northern Ireland: Rhys McClenaghan

    Jersey: Daniel Lee

A bit of high-knees, some gentle stretching, maybe a couple of pot-shots at goal.

Your average team sport warm-up has nothing on these gymnasts' preparations.

England's James Hall, who won all-around European bronze last year, tears across the floor performing a couple of practice passes, packed with flip and twist.

The Sydney-born 22-year-old is making himself at home. Team-mate Nile Wilson and Scotland's Hamish Carter also start on the floor.

Wales Josh Cook and Northern Ireland's Rhys McClenaghan go first on the rings, while Scotland's Frank Baines and Wales Clinton Purnell's first rotation is the pommel.
