Women’s 54-57kg

Michaela Walsh lost to Nicola Adams in the Commonwealth final four years ago. She will get the chance to right that after beating New Zealand’s Alexis Pritchard in the semi-final at 54-57kg.
They don’t like one another, so there was minimal handshakes and embrace afterwards and Walsh told us her opponent’s coach said a few things to wind her up.

Women's semi-final

BBC Sport on the Gold Coast
Not the biggest crowd we've seen at these Games but bound to be some late arrivals caught up in the traffic.
And this match is definitely the B side to the A side that comes afterwards in the shape of the all-star Australian side against New Zealand.
Canada 14-16 England
Tight in the women's basketball semi-finals, where England have nudged ahead of Canada after the first quarter.
The winners play either Australia or New Zealand in the final.
Women's 57kg
Northern Ireland's Michaela Walsh is through to her second consecutive Commonwealth final - meaning she's guaranteed at least a silver.
She beat New Zealand's Alexis Pritchard 4-1 on points to get her hand raised.
Walsh was denied gold by England's Nicola Adams four years ago in Glasgow.
Lawn bowls
It's not about ends in the men's singles, it's about numbers.
The first player to reach 21 points (or ‘shots’) is the winner.
Aaron Wilson of Australia is edging closer to the gold with an 18-13 lead over Ryan Bester of Canada.
It's still neck and neck between Englishman Robert Paxton and Scotland's Darren Burnett. They're tied 14-14.
Athletics
Day nine's athletics programme continues shortly. Here's where you can watch and what you can watch.
Women's semi-final: Canada 4-8 England

England have a big challenge ahead if they are to make the final but they've made a fighting start to their semi-final against Canada.
Just need to keep finding the net with their shots and they can gain revenge for their defeat in the group stage.
Rugby Sevens
England 17-5 Fiji
England 10-12 Scotland
After taking five consecutive ends, it's all gone a bit Pete Tong for England's Robert Paxton.
Darren Burnett takes three in end 14 for Scotland and moves 12-10 ahead.
Can he continue that form and sneak the bronze medal?

Session two of the day, bout number 172 of the Games.
Michaela Walsh is in the ring for Northern Ireland and knows a win over Australia’s Alexis Pritchard would give her a chance at gold.
The referee is called Kim Jon Jin. I briefly thought the leader of North Korea was in there.
This is the first of 10 bouts featuring home nations fighters tonight.
England 10-9 Scotland
After 13 ends, it's still super tight between Robert Paxton and Darren Burnett.
The Scotsman trails by one in the bronze medal match.
Aaron Wilson is having a stormer in the gold medal match for Australia. He's come from behind and leads 16-8 against Canada's Ryan Bester after 15 ends.
Boxing
There's another full boxing programme coming your way, with competitors from England, Wales and Northern Ireland in action.
Boxing
BBC Sport’s Rob Adcock spent time with Paige Murney’s coach during her semi-final win earlier. The snippets show you just what it means.
She will bid for gold tomorrow but for now, just enjoy the rollercoaster...

Women's basketball semi-finals
Can England's women take a medal away from the basketball court?
They are in semi-final action against Canada and you can watch here.

You will have probably seen a fair few volunteers with a giant four-fingered hand. These foam numbers are meant to be the paw of official Games mascot Borobi from what I can gather.
What is certain is the spirit the 15,000 volunteers have applied. Wherever you go it’s smiles, assistance, laughs and genuine good times. I’ve not heard one of them say they wish they’d not bothered. As the lady high-fouring me here said: “It’s kind of a once in a lifetime thing.”

This was hard to watch. Wales' Kane Charig walks away from his final - a defeat by India's Bajrang - absolutely devastated.
He is the first Welshman to ever win a wrestling silver at the Commonwealths but that is no consolation to the 26-year-old.
"I don't know whether I was just fazed...I don't even know what to say. I didn't get into the match at all," he tells BBC Sport,
"I let myself down. I put myself under so much pressure to be here. I thought I did everything possible to come away with something to be proud of.
"You don't win a silver, you lose a gold. It is a runners-up prize. I didn't come her for that. I don't get up early, and go training and work so hard to perform like that."
He is a man is dire need of a hug and some friends and family.
England 7-4 Scotland
It's nip and tuck between Robert Paxton and Darren Burnett.
Both players make errors at the conclusion of end nine, but it's England's Paxton who takes a narrow lead for now as they battle for bronze.
In the gold medal match, Aaron Wilson of Australia is fighting back against Ryan Bester. It's 8-6 to the Canadian.

Can’t help but feel the boxing venue is a bit of stag do heaven.
Rollercoaster theme park one side, water park the other side and we almost got a new driving range added into the mix but it seems they couldn’t get it done in time.
Throw in a kebab house and this place is good to go.
