Fresh from his medal-winning performances in the pool, England's Adam Peaty had a peach of a trip to the Great Barrier Reef.

He swam with sea turtles and under arches in the idyllic setting around Lady Elliot Island, a two-hour flight away from the Gold Coast.

He described it as "incredible, amazing and surreal" and he recorded his special day out for BBC Sport via an Instagram story. Check it out here. , external

'Being able to live as an openly gay man is really important'published at 08:20 British Summer Time 13 April 2018

    Diving

Tom Daley won his fourth Commonwealth Games gold medal overnight as he and Dan Goodfellow won the synchronised 10m platform.

After accepting his medal, Daley spoke out about issues away from the pool - specifically the decriminalisation of homosexuality.

"Coming to the Gold Coast and being able to live as an openly gay man is really important," said Daley, 23.

"There are 37 countries in the Commonwealth where it's illegal to be who I am. And hopefully we can reduce that number.

"You want to feel comfortable in who you are when you are standing on that diving board, and for 37 Commonwealth countries that are here participating that is not the case."
