Canada are trying to use their height advantage to get back into this match but they're not very accurate with their shots.

England have stalled a bit against a tighter defence and on a couple of occasions have failed to get shots away in the allotted time but three points from Rachael Vanderwal gives them a big lift at the end of the third quarter.

England's Dan Goodfellow told BBC Sport how good it feels to win 10m Syncro diving gold with Tom Daley on the sandy Gold Coast beach.

    "It feels amazing," he said.

"Going into this competition hasn't been too great because Tom's been injured and I've been injured off the last World Series we did. We only did our dives two or three times in practice so considering the circumstances, we're really happy."

"Five out of the six dives were really good and I think if we nailed the last dive it would have been a world class score but we had given ourselves a good enough lead."

Grace Reid could become the first female Scottish diver to win a Commonwealth medal today when she competes in the 1m event.

The 21-year-old was all smiles earlier when she eased through the preliminaries and this final will be wide open as it’s not an Olympic event and therefore none of the divers spend much time working on routines specifically for the discipline.

“The 3m (on Saturday) is obviously the main focus but I’ll still give it my all at 1m because it’s a final and there are medals up for grabs,” she tells me.

Australia’s Esther Qin and Georgia Sheehan - who won 3m synchro gold on Wednesday will be the favourites, but England’s Alicia Blagg and Katherine Torrance (synchro silver medallists could also be in contention.
