The men’s singles event is finally complete so a day after securing bronze England’s Rajiv Ouseph finally has his hands on his medal.

"It was a tough slog, but I’m so happy," he tells me after securing his second third-place of the Games following his role with the English mixed team success earlier in the Games.

"It’s been a brilliant performance from the team and Gold Coast 2018 has been fantastic!"

Lucy Harrison: So worth getting up at 4am for that game!! So much fight and drive! You can see the passion they all have, paving the way for the future Commonwealth champions.

Chloe: Woke up. Looked at the time. Thought, The Roses will still be playing, what’s the score? Caught the last 5 mins of the most incredible netball I’ve ever seen. The most hard earned gold medal, so glad I watched it happen.

Chantelle Francois: I'm not crying... There's just something in my eye! Oh who am I kidding, I'm bawling like a baby!! What an incredible game!

Bronze Medal - Englandpublished at 05:51 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    England 21-14 South Africa

Talk about a game of two halves...

England have won the bronze medal! They stayed patient and didn't panic after a poor first half.

The players jump for joy, give bear hugs to each other, fight back a few tears of joy.

Bronze for England's women, bronze for the men.

    England 21-14 South Africa

A shocker of a line-out from South Africa goes over their players, allowing England to pick up the loose ball before Philip Burgess goes over again. All square.

But not for long... they're over again! Skipper Tom Mitchell scores England's third try to completely turn this game around.

    Heading towards the hooter...

Getting a bit fisty out there. One English player (who shall go unnamed for the moment) seemed to lash out in a couple of tackles. Apparently that's all right...

England continue to go forward with ball in hand, Dan Norton seeing acres of grass ahead for him to stretch his legs into. However, Rosko Specamn flies across to dump him into touch. Line-out...

After a quick rendition of 'Wonderwall', we're back under way in the Robina Stadium.

But who is going to be the one who saves England? Turns out it is Philip Burgess. He scores straight from kick-off, going in under the posts, to haul England back into the game.

    Just the start they wanted/needed.

England netball coach Tracey Neville speaking on BBC TV:

"It's my dream come true, we have worked so hard over the last international phase, we've been put in here against the world number one's and we've not beaten them once in the whole cycle that I've been in. I'm just so really, really proud.

"I think, for us, we've just been trying to get consistent and to consistently beat these teams. We've been showing charisma during the international calendar but this feeling is just amazing."

Richard Woodward: WOW. just wow!! That is right up there with Englands Rugby 2003 and Ashes 2005 vs the Aussies as a national team win this century.

Stephen Clarke: That game could and should be a watershed moment for Netball as a TV sport. Was a great game to watch, and a superb result for England. (And yes, I can't believe I'm tweeting about Netball!).

    FT: Australia 51-52 England

England captain Ama Agbeze speaking on BBC One:

"There was limited sleep last night so it's really impressive we managed to turn the happiness of yesterday around.

I think Australia have felt under pressure this whole tournament. I had confidence after coming from six down against Jamaica. I felt comfortable, I wasn't that stressed today."

However... it's not as smooth sailing for the men. Not a good first half for England in this bronze-medal match. South Africa's Ruhan Nel hits a beauty of a line to break through England's defence and extend their lead in the dying embers of the half.
