Rugby sevens fans are never knowingly under-dressed.

These Mexican wrestlers are incredibly cheerful given they have turned up to find no sign of their national team.

But not everyone is here for the rugby, these two Aussies tried to get tickets for the netball, couldn't, and picked up entry to the sevens as a second best option.

They have packed their tablet computer though and are watching the medal matches from Coomera Arena in the concourse.

Now it's out to four. Tracey Neville has seen enough, on comes Natalie Haythornthwaite into the wing-attack bib.

Jo Harten and Helen Housby swap positions in the shooting circle.

    Will this make the difference?

Caitlin Bassett doesn't miss though, and England throw a wayward ball in attack.

Australia are back out to three. Huge roar from the crowd. England can't crack...

England women are in control at the halfway point in their bronze-medal match against Canada with tries from Deborah Fleming, Claire Allen and Lydia Thompson pushing the scoreboard along.

There was a nasty moment for Emily Scarratt in the first half in which he went down heavily and stayed down after contact.

Pleased to report she is back up and running though.

A brief pause while we wipe some sweat off court. Helen Housby resumes, and she misses under the posts.

But that's a brilliant rebound and she makes no mistake with her second shot.

Hearts in mouths moment there. It's back to one.

Next in the rugby sevens is the women's bronze-medal match between Canada and England.

England, who lost earlier to New Zealand in the semi-finals, finished fourth at the Rio 2016 Olympics - they won't want to feel that feeling of heartbreak again.

They race into a 19-0 lead, only to leave the door slightly ajar and let Canada narrow the gap seconds before half-time.

The thing now is, no matter how tired you are, no matter how physically difficult it is, you have 15 minutes to make history and to achieve everything you've dreamed of.

They'll be tired and feeling the physical pressure from the Aussies but there's just one more push. England don't need to run more but they need to move smarter now.

Palmer claims his ninth Commonwealth medal of a illustrious career, Alexander earns his first, the boisterous home crowd erupting in ear-splitting celebration.

Selby and Waller must make do with silver, which was probably beyond their wildest expectations on their debut together.
