Lance Stroll is passed by both Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris, so the hunt is on. Leclerc is being given some motivation words by his engineer as the advantage comes down further, but not quite in range of DRS.

Right now we are seeing some beautiful driving from George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.

In the fight for second, however, things are getting tense. The McLaren of Lando Norris is 3.2 seconds away from the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc as the two reach a bunch of backmarkers.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff is deep in conversation with his young protege Kimi Antonelli. The team are watching the fight unfold between George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, but any thoughts of this being a box office battle are sadly lacking. Russell is still fourth, Hamilton is still in fifth.

Daniel Eckersley: Red Bull keeping Perez out there to nick that fastest lap off Norris later

Anthony: This race surely seals Perez's fate. He has to be dropped by Red Bull at the end of the season now.

Max Verstappen has lifted his Red Bull up to sixth place, but his nearest challenge to gain another place is Lewis Hamilton, 12 seconds up the road.

If the top three continue this pace they will potentially be a pit-stop ahead of George Russell in fourth place which will then give Lando Norris a free pit-stop to then set a fastest lap.

Mother Nature hasn't got a ticket for this grand prix... yet.

Lewis Hamilton has got DRS but the boost is great enough to launch an attack on his team-mate George Russell.

The two Ferraris are still out in front, with Carlos Sainz holding on to a six-second advantage.

Looking back at Max Verstappen he's actually dropping away by a couple of tenths a lap to the back of Lewis Hamilton so I think I think he's in a lonely sixth place for this grand prix.

Nope. The opportunities are presenting themselves to Lewis Hamilton just yet.

Franco Colapinto is flying on his set of mediums in the Williams. The Argentine has just clocked the fastest lap from his P13 spot.

I think [the Ferraris] have got to push because I think Lando Norris is coming towards them a couple of tenths a lap at the moment.

They've got to go at this pace if they want to beat the McLaren.

George Russell is in fourth, on the Singapore specification, with Lewis Hamilton the updated Mercedes driver running the fresher spec one place behind. The battle between the pair doesn't ignite on this lap. Will it happen on the next?
