  1. wicket

WICKET: Rew c Haynes b James 12published at 14:37 British Summer Time 20 April

    Somerset 243-6 v Notts 193

A poor shot from James Rew as he gets out cheaply, rather giving his wicker away.

It's not often we say that about the Somerset man.

Lyndon James bounces one in short and Rew goes for the pull shot but decides against it halfway through leaving his bat dangling and the ball hits it and drops nicely into the hands of Jack Haynes.

  2. Postpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 20 April

    Hampshire 12-0 v Warwickshire 455

Will Rhodes shares the new-ball duties for Warwickshire and his first over goes for 12.

Fletcha Middleton grabs three boundaries to get up and running, two through the legside and one that goes past a gully area.

He already has more runs than from his two innings last week against Lancashire.

  3. wicket

WICKET Parkinson st Foakes b Steel 0published at 14:29 British Summer Time 20 April

    Kent 213-8 v Surrey

A chance for Matty Parkinson to scrutinise whether fellow leggie Cameron Steel is finding much in this surface.

It's a short-lived chance as he plays fractionally outside the line and lifts the back heel, allowing Ben Foakes to whip off the bails for a stumping.

You need to stay anchored when the world's best keeper is breathing down your neck.

  4. wicket

WICKET Elgar c Hurst b Williams 79published at 14:29 British Summer Time 20 April

    Essex 206-3 v Lancashire 146

Will Williams dismisses Dean ElgarImage source, Rex

Dean Elgar has been a model of patience in this innings and not been tempted by anything outside off-stump.

But here he throws his bat at a ball from Will Williams and he's given out caught behind.

He has done a good job for Essex and showed all his qualities of skill and obduracy, but he cannot get to a century.

  5. Postpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 20 April

    Somerset 235-5 v Notts 193

Applause ripples around the ground in sunny Taunton as Tom Banton reverse sweeps to the boundary.

    Lovely shot.

It's followed by an equally nice four through the covers from new batter James Rew.

Notts can't allow Rew to settle alongside Banton or they could be in for a long afternoon with the lead up towards 42.

  6. Hants begin replypublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 20 April

    Hampshire 0-0 v Warwickshire 455

Hampshire openers Ali Orr and Fletcha Middleton have made their way to the middle to begin the reply.

They need 306 first of all to avoid the follow-on.

Ollie Hannon-Dalby has first crack with the new ball for Warwickshire.

  7. Five wickets for Jordan Thompsonpublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 20 April

    Middx 246 v Yorks 159

Ethan Bamber is bowled at Lord'sImage source, Rex Features

The end of Middlesex's first innings and Jordan Thompson has the fourth five-for of his career as he rips one though Ethan Bamber's defences.

The lead for the home side is 87, far more than appeared likely when they were 136-7 and Yorkshire - Joe Root and Harry Brook included - need to combat the Dukes ball better than they did on the first day.

  8. wicket

WICKET Handscomb lbw Tickner 68published at 14:23 British Summer Time 20 April

    Derbys v Leics 337-4

Relief for Derbyshire as Peter Handscomb plays all around a full-length delivery from New Zealander Blair Tickner.

Handscomb's exit ends a 153-run stand with Marcus Harris, who is 163 not out and has now been joined by Liam Trevaskis.

  9. No drawspublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 20 April

    #bbccricket

We may only be a third of the way through this round of nine matches, but we can safely say that we are not going to have a full round of draws.

We are into the third innings in Kidderminster already and plenty of other games are well advanced, too.

Let's call it the Dukes effect!

  10. 'Garrett will be disappointed'published at 14:22 British Summer Time 20 April

    Kent 210-7 v Surrey

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio London

George Garrett's vigil at the crease is finally over after 100 balls.

A really good knock comes to an end as he just feathered one down the leg side and it's a great catch from Ben Foaks.

But Garrett will be disappointed. Just two shy of his maiden first class 50.

  11. Division Two updatepublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 20 April

Marcus Harris and Peter Handscomb continue to dominate proceedings at Derby, where Leicestershire are now 328-3. The two Aussies have put on 144, with Harris 162 not out and Handscomb on 60.

No joy since lunch for Glamorgan at Northampton where the home side are 45-1, replying to 271 all out by the visitors - for whom Mason Crane made a career-best 61.

Sussex are 43-1 after 18 overs against Gloucestershire at Hove after the visitors extended their first-innings total to 417.

  12. 200 up for Essexpublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 20 April

    Essex 202-2 v Lancashire 146

A typical Tom Westley shot through midwicket. It is half stopped by Nathan Lyon, but still has enough pace to reach the boundary.

Westley has a breezy 19 from 22 balls as Essex reach the 200 mark.

With Dean Elgar at the other end, the strokeplayers will really have licence this afternoon.

  13. 'That's just what Worcestershire were looking for'published at 14:16 British Summer Time 20 April

    Worcs 184 v Durham 244 & 6-1

    Chris Williams
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Alex Lees was really angry with himself there. It's rare you see a batsman show histrionics like that.

He swished the bat, maybe he feels that he shouldn't have played at it but it's a smart catch.

That's just what Worcestershire were looking for, an early wicket

  14. wicket

WICKET de Caires c Tattersall b Coad 50published at 14:13 British Summer Time 20 April

    Middx 233-9 v Yorks 159

Ben Coad has produced some beautiful deliveries today and another one brings him his fourth wicket at Lord's as Josh de Caires departs.

There was nothing much wrong with the shot, but it just did enough off the pitch to take the edge.

Middlesex lead by 78 with their last pair now together.

  15. Five-wicket haul for Liam Dawsonpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 20 April

Hampshire v Warwickshire 455 all out

    The text commentator's curse!

Ollie Hannon-Dalby decides to come down the wicket and attempt a big shot off Liam Dawson.

But OHD is number 11 and misses the ball, which goes on to hit the stumps.

Warwickshire are all out and Dawson has five wickets. He leads his team off with 5-146 from a mammoth bowl of 40.1 overs.

Hampshire will probably be quite pleased with their day's work of 115-6.

  16. wicket

WICKET Garrett c Foakes b Steel 48published at 14:12 British Summer Time 20 April

    Kent 205-7 v Surrey

    He can't believe it.

It's a nothing ball which George Garrett tries to flick away and Ben Foakes snaffles the thinnest of edges down the leg-side.

No maiden 50 for Kent's nightwatcher, but what a job he has done for his side today.

  17. Postpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 20 April

    Kent 205-6 v Surrey

Give away byes? Don't be daft.

England's Ben Foakes flies through the air behind the stumps as Jordan Clark sends one down way wide of leg stump.

Surrey have a short mid-on in place for Joey Evison. They've clearly spotted something.

  18. wicket

WICKET: Lees c Holder b Smith 4published at 14:09 British Summer Time 20 April

    Worcs 184 v Durham 244 & 5-1

    Early wicket for Worcestershire!

Nathan Smith steams in and finds the edge of Alex Lees who is caught at second slip by Jason Holder for four.

Lees was out in the first innings for six by the same combination of Smith and Holder.

He reacts angrily to the dismissal, clearly not happy with his performance.

  19. Postpublished at 14:08 British Summer Time 20 April

    Hampshire v Warwickshire 455-9

Last pair Craig Miles and Ollie Hannon-Dalby are doing their best to keep Hampshire out in the field.

Miles has eight off 22 and OHD, five from 19. They have added 13 together.

  20. Postpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 20 April

    Kent 203-6 v Surrey

George Garrett has to wait for a maiden 50 as he fails to put away a looping full toss from Cameron Steel. It's just a single and the nightwatcher is 47 not out.

This is quite a show of concentration by a player whose previous best score was 24, he's been out there for over two hours.
