  1. Down to the final fourpublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 30 June

After Galway's shock win over Dublin on Saturday, today's contests perhaps did not live up to yesterday's excitement.

Kerry were good value for their victory over Derry but it was a cagey affair and the new favourites for the All-Ireland will want to be more like their free-flowing best against Armagh in a semi-final back here at Croke Park in two weeks' time.

Ulster champions Donegal will be seeking improvement too despite booking their first last-four spot in a decade.

They did what they had to against Louth but there were plenty of times their manager cut a frustrated figure on the sidelines.

In Jim McGuinness' first season back at the helm, the Tir Chonaill have already emulated the feat of the Glenties man's first year in charge all the way back in 2011 when, after winning Division Two and the Ulster title, they made it all the way to the semi-finals. Can they go even further this time around?

After knocking out the reigning champions in their own back yard this weekend, Galway will have plenty to say on that front too, of course.

Plenty to look forward to ahead of those semi-finals on 13 and 14 July. For now, thanks for joining us today for the last of the quarters, goodbye!

  2. Kerry break Derry hearts again in cagey quarter-finalpublished at 17:17 British Summer Time 30 June

    Kerry 0-15 Derry 0-10

Kerry broke Derry hearts for the second year in a row by winning a cagey All-Ireland quarter-final 0-15 to 0-10 that never truly caught fire at Croke Park.

Having beaten Derry in last year's semi-final, the Munster champions did just about enough in the second half to win a tactical slugfest and set up a last-four encounter with Armagh.

With Shane McGuigan impressing for Derry, the sides were level at 0-6 apiece at the end of a cagey first half.

But Kerry scored four out of the five scores between the 55th and 64th minutes to move 0-12 to 0-9, a point from which Mickey Harte's side were unable to recover.

Man of the match Brain O Beaglaoich speaking to RTE Sport: Patience was key, we knew that was the game plan.

We knew if we stuck at it we'd wear them down.

I think our subs had a massive impact there. We asked them to bring an impact and that's what they did. They finished it off for us.

It was not pretty. In fact it was really poor.

We barely got a grand slam finish. Kerry got into the lead with a critical two, three points.

All-Ireland's aren't about fancy performances or champagne football. Sometimes you just have to grind it out, Kerry have done that today.

Who would bet against them to finish the job they failed to do last year and get their hands on Sam Maguire.

    Derry 0-10 Kerry 0-15

Kerry are through to the semi-final of the All-Ireland were they will meet Armagh in a fortnight's time in a repeat of the 2002 decider.

This is a game that certainly will not live long in the memory and will be erased never to be rewatched.

The Kingdom did enough to get through with their impact of the bench really helping with a lot of their main men shut down.

0-4 in the second half of an All-Ireland quarter-final is simply not good enough for Derry as they are beaten for a fourth time in this years championship.

Not that Jack O'Connor or anyone in Kerry will admit it but with Dublin gone they are in pole position.

There's nine or ten minutes left. We've all suffered through a pretty disappointing game until now.

The prize on offer for both teams is massive, the significance of this result today in terms of where that All-Ireland will eventually go I think will be hugely important.

I think both teams are aware of that. This is going to come alive now.
