  1. Zim 92-3 (target 363 from 48)published at 09:15 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Williams finds the boundary for the first time, guiding Samuels for four through the covers before fluently sweeping four more out of the reach of Jonathan Carter, not required to bat today and now patrolling the mid-wicket boundary for the left-hander.

  2. Zim 81-3 (Taylor 27*, Williams 10*)published at 09:12 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Taylor, who famously put Australia to the sword in the inaugural World Twenty20 in South Africa in 2007, lifts Miller for four over the ring of cover fielders. Four singles mean this stand is already worth 35.

  4. Zim 73-3 (target 363 from 48)published at 09:09 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Samuels was one of the first off-spinners to be reported for a suspect action in the International Cricket Council's apparent crackdown over the last 15 months - he was cleared after testing but specifically banned from bowling his quicker deliveries. He's swiftly through his second over at the cost of five runs.

  5. Zim 68-3 (Taylor 19*, Williams 5*)published at 09:06 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Now, rattling through a few overs of spin should be good for West Indies in lots of ways - not least because if they can get past the magic 20-over mark, we have a match constituted and there's no longer a risk of a "no result". Taylor gets down on one knee and slog-sweeps Miller for six over deep backward square leg.

  7. Zim 58-3 (target 363 from 48)published at 09:03 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Marlon Samuels, fresh from his slow-but-effective century in support of Chris Gayle earlier today, is on to bowl some off-spin. Taylor and Williams plunder some singles, while Taylor tries to hit over the top but the fleet-footed Andre Russell - his mohican unadorned by any headgear - stops it in front of the rope.

"The biggest chance for Zimbabwe was Masakadza. They've got batting in the tank, but those who are proven at the top level, we've already seen them in the hut."

  10. Appeal - not outpublished at 09:00 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

With the mandatory powerplay reduced to nine overs because of the reduction in overs, West Indies turn to spin for the first time - it's Nikita Miller, who was only called into the squad late on when Sunil Narine withdrew, and is only playing today because of Sulieman Benn's injury. Miller, an orthodox slow left-armer, half-heartedly appeals for lbw as Taylor reverse-sweeps, the ball trickles down the leg side and they run a couple of leg byes. Taylor has eight from 17 balls, Williams has two from four.

  12. Appeal - not outpublished at 08:56 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Sean Williams joins Brendan Taylor at the crease - Jerome Taylor appeals for a catch behind against his namesake but it's a good decision as replays show the ball flicking Taylor's hip on its way down the leg side, rather than his bat. A more controlled uppercut than Raza's earns him a two over the slips, and a square-driven single brings the left-handed Williams on strike for the first time. He's off the mark straight away with a single to mid-off, that's 50 up for Zimbabwe - but they have a mountain to climb.

"Raza has played aggressively - he has come out and taken on the bowlers. He has created room and flayed the hands at it. Now there's pressure creeping in for Zimbabwe."

  14. WICKETpublished at 08:50 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Raza's cameo is ended as he tries to hit over the top again and can only to-edge a catch to the safe hands of Lendl Simmons at third man. A good recovery by captain Holder, who had earlier sent down a bouncer which disappeared for four leg byes, and another bumper which was signalled as an aerial wide.

  15. Zim 36-2 (Raza 25*, Taylor 1*)published at 08:45 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

It's Taylor v Taylor as the right-arm quick from Jamaica bowls to the right-hander from Harare. Taylor (Brendan) is kept under wraps for four dot balls before Taylor (Jerome) strays with a legside wide. Brendan is off the mark with a single.

  16. Zim 34-2 (target 363 from 48)published at 08:40 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Wicketkeeper Brendan Taylor is the new batsman - still the Test captain but no longer the ODI skipper, he is the highest all-time Zimbabwe World Cup run-scorer with 344 before today. He looks on as Raza gets up on his toes and lashes Holder for four through the covers before brutally pulling another four through mid-wicket - Raza has 25 from 17 balls.

"It looked pretty gun-barrel straight to me. He had a bit of a hoick across the line and that was absolutely plumb. It's strange that he walked off shaking his head.

"They have got some batting to come. Williams and Taylor can play but they don't want to be losing too many wickets, especially in the powerplay."

It hit his back pad, and was hitting middle stump about two-thirds of the way up... a rather odd decision to call for a review (unless he thinks he got a nick on it) but it's all over for Zimbabwe's number three.

  19. Umpire reviewpublished at 08:35 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Masakadza is trapped in front by Taylor, it looked straight and the umpire raises his finger but after a brief consultation, Masakadza wants a review...

  20. Zim 25-1 (target 363 from 48)published at 08:34 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2015

Even though the rain's stopped, it looks a bit chilly out in the middle - Chris Gayle and Darren Sammy are blowing on their fingers in the slips to keep warm. And Gayle's nearly called into action as Masakadza edges Taylor but the ball doesn't quite carry to the big Jamaican at first slip. Raza repeats his "scoop over extra cover for four" shot from before the rain break.
