  1. Zim 47-2 (target 236)published at 09:00 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

Masakadza plays and misses at another one, this time from Rahat's bowling. The batsman nervously prods at the ball, but luckily for him does not touch it or he would have been caught behind.

Zimbabwe are wrapped up at the moment and struggling to get the bowlers away. Only two runs from the over. Only three from the last three.

  2. Zim 45-2 (Wahab 0-8, Rahat 0-10)published at 08:55 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

Four dots at the start of Wahab Riaz's over. Hamilton Masakadza plays and misses at one of them, and this is superb bowling from both ends at the moment. Masakadza then gallops for a drop-and-run single, the only scoring shot of the 14th over.

  3. Zim 45-2 (Masakadza 15, Taylor 8)published at 08:52 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

A beautiful delivery from Rahat Ali is the highlight of the over. It zips in between Brendan Taylor's pad and bat, and somehow the Zimbabwean has not got anything on it and his wicket is still intact.

We have seen some cracking matches in the last week. This one was definitely a slow burner to start with, but there are signs that this is going to be a great contest.

Overpitched from Wahab Riaz and Taylor chips it over mid-on for his first boundary. Another wide from Riaz - Pakistan really can't afford to keep giving free points away.

Big appeal from Riaz for a caught behind. What is he thinking? You could drive a lorry through the gap between bat and ball. There's time for one more Taylor play and miss before the over's out.

  5. Zim 37-2 (target 236)published at 08:43 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

Rahat Ali opens up with two ugly ones. Ooh. Did Taylor feather the second one to the keeper? The umpire says no. Will Pakistan review? Misbah rushes in to consult his team-mates but they opt against. Wisely, as the replay confirms.

Masakadza pulls for four. He's a well-built fella and when he hits it, the ball stays hit.

Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen, external: Not the result I wanted waking up to. Joe Root must have played well - good stuff, bud!

  7. Zim 28-2 (Masakadza 9, Taylor 0)published at 08:37 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

Masakadza releases some tension with a boundary, cracked over the bowler's head. Pakistan were 14-2 at this same 10-over stage in their innings.

  8. Zim 24-2 (RR: 2.66)published at 08:33 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

Single to Masakadza, then five dots as Taylor gets his eye in. My new prediction is that this one may well go right to the wire.

"From a Zimbabwe point of view they just need to get through this period. It's not as if they are chasing a massive total.

"We've seen in previous matches at this World Cup that it can be tricky to get what doesn't seem to be a big score, but Zimbabwe have batted well in their other games so far and they just need to keep their heads."

  10. Zim 23-2 (Masakadza 4, Taylor 0)published at 08:30 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

Consolidation time for Zimbabwe as the experienced Brendan Taylor strikes to the crease. Masakadza treats Khan with respect, eventually bundling a single off the fifth ball of the over. Taylor leaves the next one well alone.

"That was a good ball, a little bit fuller. Irfan had been around the wicket the previous ball but came back over the wicket for that ball, and it was the bounce that did for Raza.

"That is two wickets for the big fella and he has got his tail up here.

"This will be interesting now because the new batsman Brendan Taylor has been in good form. The middle-order of Zimbabwe is going to be tested now."

Irfan's short ball does the trick. Raza backs away but leaves the bat hanging and once again the edge carries to second slip.

  13. Zim 17-1 (Raza 4, Masakadza 3)published at 08:21 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

Mazakadza dabs a couple of runs clipped wide of mid-on. But it's an otherwise tight over from Sohail Khan as Pakistan continue to put the squeeze on in defence of a pretty paltry total.

Irfan has his tail up now, and Raza has to throw his head backwards to get out of the way of a well-directed bouncer. Hamilton Masakadza is the new batsman.

    Graeme Swann
Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

"That was catching practice like you'd see before a game - a little nick to slip.

"Chibhabha just left the bat up, like a periscope on a submarine. It dollied to second slip and Sohail Khan made no mistake whatsoever.

"Irfan has bowled very well so far, making the ball move both ways off the pitch. He will be very happy and his captain will be over the moon.

"Pakistan need to get wickets all the way through the innings if they are going to defend a total of 235, so that is a good start."

I think that officially qualifies as mockers. Chibabha weighs up a shot, leaves the bat dangling fatally and dinks to second slip.

  18. Zim 14-0published at 08:11 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

Chibhabha tees off, launching Sohail Khan's first ball over mid-off for four. Then a couple to the left and a couple to the right. With Taylor Williams and Ervine in waiting, Zimbabwe could walk this.

  19. Zim 5-0 (target 236)published at 08:06 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

A wonderfully hostile over from Mohammad Irfan. He torments Sikandar Raza, who is hit by a short ball and also has to take evasive action later in the over. Zimbabwe are not going to have it all their own way in this run chase.

  20. Zim 5-0 (Chibhabha 5, Raza 0)published at 08:03 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2015

A lovely punched shot down the ground by Chamu Chibhabha as he meets Sohail Khan's full toss.

Wahab Riaz, the late hero of Pakistan's innings, sprints after it and dives desperately, just like a goalkeeper out of position trying to keep the ball out of the net. But the dive is not rewarded and Zimbabwe have their first boundary of the match. 5-0 off two overs.
