It’s probably a game we could have won but none of us got going with the bat. We didn’t bowl great up front and they got a good start but with the exception of Cobb we didn’t get past 30. To win would have been a dream finish for me and it’s sort of how I pictured it in my heads. As has been well documented, we’re a small club and we’ve overachieved so credit to the lads and back room staff. Unfortunately we couldn’t get across the line.

It’s a massive disappointment. We were underdogs to a lot of people but we were backing ourselves to go out and win it. We can be proud to get to the final but it is a shame not to get over the line. I struggled to get going with the bat, while I was there I was always backing myself but I probably needed someone to play a good cameo at the other end. Unfortunately we lose Willo who’s exceptional for or T20 side but there’s a lot of talent in our squad who can step up and maybe we can come back next year.

The lads have been great today, we had a lot of belief and they came through to beat some tough teams today. I’m delighted for them. It happens a lot in professional sport if you maintain the momentum. These games always come down to a rub of the green but it’s fantastic to get over the line. Gavin’s selection was a big call. We practised this week and he was superb in training. We thought he was bowling as well as anyone. The way he held his nerve in the last two overs was fantastic. This is the most pleasing moment in T20 cricket.

Outstanding. It‘s a great win from a pretty young side. We knew we had a good score on the board. I said if we bowled like we did in the semi, we knew we were going to win. It’s our first win in seven so we’re going to enjoy it. I’m delighted for them, there’s some experience in there but there’s some young lads in there too and it’s great Gavin Griffiths bowled as well as he did. It’s been fantastic, the best summer’s cricket I’ve ever had and to win against Australia would be a great finale.

It's a fantastic night. There were so many sub-plots in the whole thing. I'm just over the moon for the boys, they've worked so hard. It's been a battling sort of campaign but they got there in the end.

What a brilliant moment for a youngster when you've got Afridi going for you. This could be the turning moment.

"Until those dismissals of Ben Duckett and Steven Crook, you felt this final was still very much in the balance.

"But Lancashire's use of spin has once again turned the screw and an asking rate of more than 10-an-over looks like it could be well beyond Northants.

"However, there's still a man called Afridi in the Northants side who could turn a game on his own."

The one thing I thought Northants might have done was bring Afridi in at this point because if they carry on in this manner, with the spinners bowling, Lancashire have this one in the bag.

The danger here is that Parry is bowling a pace that's getting a bit of grip on the pitch. You would have thought someone like Willey would have liked facing this.

They're still working their way to a decent total in six overs. We've said somewhere over 40 is a decent total in the powerplay and that remains the case.

The way Levi hits it, you only have to give a semblance of a gap and it's off. You can't afford to bowl any width outside off stump.
