Andrew Bedford: What do England set-up see in Chris Jordan? county trundler. Baffling.

  2. Pak 141-8 (need 20 off 6)published at 19 overs

Wahab just about keeps Pakistan in it with a big slice over point for four. And then another four, thick-edged down to third man off a full toss, gets the fans excited. Single off the final delivery, 20 needed off the last.

  3. Pak 132-8published at 18.3 overs

I don't think Adil Rashid's going to get a bowl here. Jordan takes the ball for the penultimate over. He starts well - just a single from his first three deliveries, and Pakistan need miracles now.

"In the last couple of overs, Topley and Jordan have bowled four or five wides. England will want to make sure they don't leak too many runs."

  5. Pak 131-8 (need 30 off 12)published at 18 overs

Topley responds well under pressure - two good yorkers evade the bat of Tanvir, and a third is blocked out for a single.

Tanvir absolutely smashes Topley into the stands at cow corner. Life in this yet.

  8. Pak 121-8 (need 40 off 18)published at 17 overs

Plunkett responds with a superb bouncer, and then a slightly slower delivery that beats the slog of Tanvir. Tanvir swings and misses again and they run a leg bye. That's a superb spell from Plunkett, 3-21 off his four overs - he's really proved a point today.

  9. Pak 119-8published at 16.2 overs

It's not over yet you know. Wahab picks up four with a glance off his legs before they pinch a single off the next ball.

Jon Dunn: Chris Jordan, mixing his half volleys with wides.

Paul Baldwin: Remind me again why Jordan is going to SA rather than Plunkett.

  11. Pak 114-8 (need 47 off 24)published at 16 overs

The occasionally wayward Jordan misfires with a couple of wides, before a huge hoick from Tanvir lands just out of reach of the diving Hales in the leg-side outfield. Wahab smashes over mid-off for two off the final ball, and that's a very good over for Pakistan - 14 off it, above the required rate.

  12. Pak 108-8published at 15.3 overs

Sohail smites Jordan down the ground and it just eludes the diving Rashid at long-off. And then he picks up another four, smashed through the gap at midwicket.

"Good tactics from England. They tempted him by bringing the man up to mid-off and he couldn't get it over him."

    Anwar c Morgan b Plunkett 20 (Pak 100-8)

Anwar knows he needs to give it some humpty, but it's not quite as easy against the extra pace of Liam Plunkett. He skies one to cover to give Plunkett his third wicket.

There's still some fight in Anwar Ali, who dances to loft Stephen Parry into the stands at long-on. Hello, he's done it again, this time right over the sightscreen. A few more of these and we might have a game on...
