  1. Pak 38-3 (run rate 5.42)published at 7 overs

Moeen Ali into the attack for England. Pakistan's batsmen are usually assured against spin, and indeed Rizwan opens his account with a punchy cut for four. But Moeen's next ball is better, faster and flatter, and fizzes past Rizwan's outside edge.

  2. Coin toss to be scrapped in County Championshippublished at 18:13 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2015

The England and Wales Cricket Board has confirmed the mandatory coin toss is to be scrapped in the County Championship next season.

An ECB statement read: "The visiting captain will be offered the opportunity of bowling first. If he declines, the toss will take place as normal. But if he accepts, there will be no toss."

The aim is to encourage counties to produce better pitches for four-day cricket.

"With Plunkett's short ball, he's keeping a nice tight line to the stumps so batsmen haven't got the room to free their arms. England are showing they've got a rounded squad - it's not just the same players all the time."

    Rafatullah c Billings b Plunkett 16 (Pak 25-3)

Liam Plunkett has had a long wait to get involved on this tour but he's doing some real damage here. Extra wheels, too quick for Rafatullah who gets a skinny edge behind attempting a pull. England on top.

  6. Pak 25-2 (run rate 5.0)published at 5 overs

Mohammad Rizwan is the new man. Rafatullah picks up a couple of twos, one through point and one through midwicket, but it's a very good over from Topley, just five from it.

"That's really good bowling from Plunkett. He saw Hafeez wasn't comfortable with the short ball and he set him up. England will be feeling pretty confident here."

    Hafeez c Topley b Plunkett 7 (Pak 20-2)

Finally,a rare sighting of the lesser-spotted Liam Plunkett, who gets his first outing of the tour - and he makes a breakthrough in his first over! Hafeez swivels on a pull but connects almost too well and to his chagrin the ball plops straight into the hands of Reece Topley at deep square leg.

Chris Jordan has gone for the 'one sleeve' approach today, perhaps in homage to Canadian tennis player Milos Raonic. It's a very good over until the final ball, which is flicked gloriously over fine leg by Hafeez for four.
