So Pakistan will chase 161. England recovered superbly from 19-3 but they will still have to bowl well to win this.

"It's a nice total if you're a neutral. It's also a simple total, because eight an over would be a tie. There was some terrific cricket all round, particularly at the end by Billings. Morgan oversaw the recovery, then Billings showed why he is in the squad. It was Buttler-esque."

Billings run out (Sarfraz) 53 (Eng 160-5)

Billings scoops again - Wahab keeps it to three with a good bit of fielding on the boundary. Morgan slugs one down the ground, but the fielder cuts it off running round and keeps it to two. Morgan misses the final ball and Billings is run out as they try and sneak an extra.

Billings brings up a superb 50 off just his 24th ball with a scampered single. England's equal second-fastest in T20s, level with Paul Collingwood, behind Ravi Bopara.

  11. Eng 152-4 (Morgan 41, Billings 49)published at 19 overs

Good comeback from Wahab - two lightning-fast deliveries whistle past Billings' bat. But a two off the next ball takes England up to 150.

Are you sure England haven't sent out Jos Buttler in disguise here? This is extraordinary batting from Sam Billings, scooping Wahab fine for four, and then playing the same shot with a bit of extra mustard on it - six!

Kablammo! Big six from Billings, down the track and rifles a slower ball over the midwicket boundary. Some good running off the last three balls makes it a very costly over from Imran, 18 off it.

  16. Eng 127-4published at 17.2 overs

Billings is on it like a car bonnet here. He picks a slower ball from Imran first up and swats it to the midwicket fence, then strides down the track and bludgeons him straight for four. And there's more...

"You can't see Billings close to the Test team yet, but in any other form you admire his swash and his buckle."

  18. Eng (Morgan 39, Billings 18)published at 17 overs

Billings sweeps along the ground to deep midwicket for two. Then there's a bit of luck for Morgan, who drives in the air towards long off, where the fielder pulls out of a potential catching chance. Says he didn't pick it up. Afridi has a face link thunder. Good over from Anwar, just six from it.

Down! England's skipper gets a life, Morgan guiding a late cut aerially towards backward point, only for Imran Khan, arms opening wide in anticipation like a crocodile's jaws, to make a mess of it.
