Right, that TMS tweet is a further signal for me to get my skates on and switch attention to the late game. Pakistan have been impressive, but now it's time for England v West Indies.

"It wasn't just the bowling but also the batting that's been disappointing form Bangladesh. They need to do a lot of homework. We've seen the potential from their top order but this match has been tough."

So, Pakistan join New Zealand at the top of Group 2, each on two points. With India losing to the Kiwis yesterday, that group looks set to be very tight.

"A comprehensive win for Pakistan, there was no real contribution from the Bangladesh top order. What a day for Shahid Afridi."

"A job well done by Pakistan. They were outstanding with the bat and they always had the firepower with the ball to knock over Bangladesh."

    Ban 146-6

That's it, all over. Very, very impressive from Pakistan, who beat Bangladesh with very little fuss indeed. The Tigers will have been optimistic after their successful qualifying campaign, but here they have been squashed. Pakistan have put the rest of the field on notice.

    Ban 146-6

A single takes the Shakib to a 40-ball 50. Did hear someone say 'scant comfort'?

  9. 6 runs

    Ban 145-6published at 19.3 overs

Shakib, who has been batting for about three days, it seems, lofts Wahab down the ground for a maximum. He's on 49.

  11. Ban 134-6published at 19 overs

I'll be honest, Aggers, I'm not too pleased to hear that England v West Indies is starting so soon. Your humble live texter will have to quickly flit from the end of this game to the start of the next one. Mashrafe, the skipper going down with his ship, takes Amir to third man for four. One over to go.

Where's Mashrafe Mortaza been? The skipper arrives and launches his second ball down the ground for six.

    Mithun c Amir b Irfan 2 (Ban 117-6)

Mithun tries an uppercut over third man and is pouched on the boundary... or is he? Check for a no-ball, and it's a legitimate delivery from Irfan. But not by much.

"Bangladesh will be disappointed. They recently defeated Sril Lanka, and had been looking good coming into the tournament. A lot was expected of them but Pakistan really took it away in their first 10 overs or so, before that blistering knock-out innings from Shahid Afridi did the trick."

  17. Ban 117-5 (target 202)published at 17.3 overs

The rangy Mohammad Irfan back for his last over, Pakistan's three left-arm pacemen have done a good job for their side today - although perhaps not for their over-rate. Shakib heaves him for a four through mid-wicket.

    Mushfiqur c Sarfraz b Amir 18 (Ban 110-5)

Gone this time. Mushfiqur Rahim is swinging like a rusty gate, but only sends the ball straight up into the air, with the falling leather pouched by Sarfraz Ahmed. We're limping to the close here.
