We still have much to come later today though, with South Africa against West Indies, AB de Villiers against Chris Gayle, and an important encounter as far as England's hopes in the competition go. We will give you time for a tea and a sandwich, perhaps a chocolate teacake as we are enjoying here, and will be back with that match from Nagpur shortly. Cheerio now.

It most certainly is Ashley, effectively a quarter-final, with the winners through to the last four and the losers on the plane home. That match is on Sunday in Chandigarh so be sure to follow that here on the BBC website.

"Spin bowling is an area of vulnerability in these conditions. Apart from Zampa, they haven't got the armoury to match their pace bowlers."

  5. Captain's viewpublished at 13:06 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March 2016

Australia skipper Steve Smith: "We haven't quite played to our potential in the first two games. Today was quite a clinical performance and I'm really proud of the boys.

"Davey Warner has been hitting the ball well so needs to face as many balls as possible. We changed it up a little bit and it worked today.

"We just have to keep on winning. There's three more games if we want to win the World Cup. India will be tough. Hopefully we can keep playing some good cricket and give them a run for their money.

"India is only in two days, so we'll look at a bit of footage from their batters and bowlers. We'll take a rest and be ready to go."

  6. Captain's viewpublished at 13:05 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March 2016

Shahid Afridi on rumours of his retirement: "When I go back I will take a decision and whatever is better for the country I will go with that. Let's see how things are doing, I will announce this in my country. As a player I am fine but as a captain it is hard being captain of Pakistan with the pressure, media pressure and expectancy."

  7. Captain's viewpublished at 13:04 Greenwich Mean Time 25 March 2016

Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi: "I want to congratulate Australia but we are not good enough, the last four overs we gave 40 runs away and you cannot do that against a world class side."

James Faulkner recovers from illness to take 5-27, only the sixth man to take a five-for in T20 internationals: "I wasn't feeling great a couple of days ago but I am just glad we got back to playing some decent cricket again.

"We didn't get off the to the best of starts out here but knowing our squad and the depth we have there is no reason why couldn't turn it round. We know India are going to be tough opposition next but we have got to be up for the challenge."

    Pkn 172-8

Could have been a hat-trick but it just evades the outstretched fingertips of David Warner on the boundary. But that is the end of Pakistan's campaign as Australia win.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.2 overs

    Wahab c Hazlewood b Faulkner 0 (Pkn 164-8)

Back of the hand from Faulkner, it bamboozles Wahab, sliced to point and it is four wickets in six balls for the left-arm conjurer. Best figures by an Australian in T20 cricket.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.1 overs

    Sarfraz c Khawaja b Faulkner 2 (Pkn 164-7)

A peculiar way to depart, presumably the intended destination was the boundary but the reverse stroke went limply to point.

    Pkn 160-6published at 19 overs

Malik hits Coulter-Nile into the stands over long-on and then cuts the next ball for four, but Pakistan need 30 from the final over, which will be bowled by Faulkner.
