Shane Watson is the new man, a day after announcing his international retirement. One last lbw, Watto, for old times' sake?

"There is plenty to come for Australia so it is right they have a go. He was trying to manufacture it and the ball came on to Maxwell a bit quicker than he thought."

The Big Show is all over. Glenn Maxwell loses his shape and swats the impressive left-arm spin of Imad Wasim to long-on. That's a big wicket for Pakistan, Maxwell was really starting to tick.

England women  are on their way to Chennai for their next match against Pakistan on Saturday.

They claimed a nerve-wracking final-ball, one-wicket win over West Indies on Thursday to move closer to the booking their place in the semi-finals.

Oh yes! Shot of the day so far! Glenn Maxwell is showing off, launching Sami over cover for six. Wonderful stuff.

"I think we will see Maxwell really trying to boost the scoring rate and Steve Smith will continue the anchor role."

  8. Aus 106-3published at 12.5 overs

The expensive Mohammad Sami returns, banging the ball in to this excellent deck and getting absolutely no change. Smith slashes for four. Sami, who made his international debut in 2001(!), improves, but can't resist dropping short to allow Maxwell a pull. Noise and music in Chandigarh - I can't quite work out who the crowd is backing.

"This is such a good wicket, I think if there are a lot of wickets in hand towards the end we could be in for something special."

Sara, I'm not sure if you know how this works, but I'll give it a go anyway. "You're still in bed at 10, and work began at eight - *clap, clap, clap, clap*". Good over from the upright left-arm tweak of Imad, with Maxwell almost coming a cropper to a throw from point. Five from it.

  12. Aus 90-3 (Maxwell 18 from 11)published at 11 overs

He's not just a big show, he's a tricky show too. A double-jointed reverse sweep from Maxwell goes over the head of the keeper and takes Afridi for his first boundary. Afridi comes round the wicket and Australia continue to run well, with Maxwell then playing a super sweep for four. 13 from the over. In the words of Ed Sullivan, "a really big shew..."

"This is where Australia's biggest threat can be today, the field is very wide so if you can pick up those extra runs, turn ones into twos, which Pakistan probably won't do, that can be vital."

Shane Watson opened in Australia's first two games, now he's down to number six. That'll teach him to announce his retirement halfway through a tournament. Still Afridi, facial hair sculpted by Toni & Guy. Lots of whip, occasional loop, regular skid. Smith, busy, tries to use his feet and takes a couple through the leg side. No boundary in Afridi's first two overs.

Paul Dixon: I once travelled around Kenya for over a month on expedition. Had to take all the essentials including the cricket bat and ball even though I was short for space! It even came up mount Kenya. It was supposed to be a life changing experience but my mate, Tim, and I used it as a month long cricket tour and I wouldn't change a thing!

Time for a Big Show, with Glenn Maxwell arriving. Is Maxwell nicknamed after the WWE wrestler? If so, he's nothing like him. The wrestler is 7ft, 500lb. Maxwell is about 10 stone wet through.

    Finch b Imad 15 (Aus 57-3)

Now another one is castled! This time it's not about pace, but the result is just the same. Aaron Finch is done by the left-arm spin of Imad Wasim, perhaps playing for non-existent turn. It slides on, between bat and pad, disturbing the wood. Perhaps someone should mention to the Aussies that those three wooden poles need to be protected.
