"It's a pretty decent catch from Coulter-Nile, he had to make good ground. Australia were going gung-ho at this stage, but Pakistan are just losing wickets."

  2. Pkn 150-6published at 18 overs

No hat-trick but no boundaries conceded either and Pakistan need 44 from the final 12 balls. Afridi looking disconsolate in the dug-out, his international career almost over.

  3. wicket

    Imad c Coulter-Nile b Faulkner 0 (Pkn 147-6)

Two in two for Faulkner, left-hander Imad Wasim went for it and only sliced to backward point.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17.3 overs

    Latif b Faulkner 46 (Pkn 147-5)

Steady stuff from Latif, 46 from 41, but, needing something more, he is beaten all ends up by a slower ball from Faulkner and is through his shot way too early as the ball crashes into the timbers.

"You'd still back Australia, but a couple more boundaries and the situation would change rapidly."

  6. Pkn 145-4 (49 needed from 18 balls)published at 17 overs

Watson, whose first over went for 17, concedes an unfortunate four following a full-blooded top edge from Malik that flies over the wicketkeeper's head, but not too much damage in the rest of the over.

"Pakistan need one big over to get ahead of the game."

  8. Pkn 135-4published at 16 overs

There are no more maximums though and even a dot ball. Four overs left and 59 still required, but Australia were on exactly the same score at this stage of their innings.

That's massive from Malik, thudding into the black sightscreen down the ground off Zampa.

  10. Pkn 125-4 (69 needed from 30 balls)published at 15 overs

Latif hits Hazlewood over cover for four but it is the only boundary of the over and the requirement is almost 14 an over.

  12. Pkn 114-4published at 14 overs

Shoaib Malik is the new batsman, he seems to have been around longer than colour television but let's see if he can improve on his T20 highest of 75. Just singles conceded after the wicket.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 13.2 overs

Afridi st Nevill b Zampa 14 (Pkn 110-4)

But he has gone this time, marching down the pitch and deceived as Zampa fires it in flatter and wider and Peter Nevill whips off the bails in tidy fashion.

  14. 6 runs

    Pkn 110-3published at 13.1 overs

Wouldn't bother even looking for that, let alone chasing it. Straight down the ground over the black sightscreens by the inimitable Afridi off Zampa.

  16. Pkn 104-3published at 13 overs

Latif struggled in the last over but he relishes the pace of Coulter-Nile, pulling two boundaries to record his T20 highest, although his previous best was a modest 13.

Drove from Yorkshire to Zuoz (near St. Moritz) in Switzerland to take part in the Lyceum Alpinum cricket festival there.  The pitches are in the Engadine Valley near the source of the river Inn at 2000m above sea level with a rise to 4500m beyond the boundary.  Pretty impressive location and a fantastic international festival.

The first four balls from Maxwell are dots but Afridi thumps the final one over long-on for a much needed maximum.

  19. Pkn 87-3published at 11 overs

The big gun arrives, Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, who has a top score of 33 against Australia. He comes down the pitch second ball to drive a single.

"That is a good delivery. It's got late dip and a little bit of turn. Akmal got done. Zampa has bowled with really good control."
