"That looked a bit of a half-hearted shot from Dar - a checked drive. It was not really going over the top or along the floor. Anya will be pleased with that."

  2. wicket

    WICKET - Dar c Elwiss b Shrubsole 8 (Pkn 156-8)published at 43.1 overs

Anya Shrubsole replaces her new-ball partner Brunt and immediately makes a breakthrough - inducing Dar into a half-hearted shot which gives Elwiss a regulation catch at mid-off.

“Coach Mark Robinson is keen for families and partners to come along to a barbecue tonight and get involved. It's actually a very nice thing to do. The families support all the players so much it's nice to say thank you.”

  4. Pkn 156-7 (Dar 8, Asmavia 1)published at 43 overs

Kate Cross to continue - you can read about her thoughts on the new Super League in an interesting piece by our colleagues at BBC Get Inspired - she's not been in the wickets today, but it's a tight over from the young Lancastrian, just a single from it.

"In terms of fielding, a lot of the work we did over the winter was around movement of tennis players, or of football goalkeepers. We looked at the way tennis players serve, or how the goalies face penalties. The first bit of fielding you do in any game sets the tone. Pakistan's spiraled a bit unfortunately for them."

  6. Pkn 155-7 (Brunt 10-2-27-2)published at 42 overs

Brunt into her last over, but there's no more progress up the ODI wicket-taking ladder - having seen two of her team-mates dismissed that way, there's no way Asmavia is risking a single to Danielle Wyatt's arm. Brunt finishes with 2-27 - take a bow.

  7. Watch: Nawaz bowled by Bruntpublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 22 June 2016

If you love nothing more than seeing a fast bowler splatter the stumps - or if you're a particular fan of Katherine Brunt's work - you'll enjoy watching this.

  8. Pkn 154-7 (target 379)published at 41 overs

With the required rate approaching 23 runs per over (and the New Road scoreboard rather cruelly displaying it), Dar lofts a Cross full toss towards deep mid-wicket, Brunt hares round to cut it off and can't take the catch but stops the boundary. Asmavia is off the mark with a single to third man, Dar tickles one to fine leg to pinch the strike.

"So much of the energy from the game comes from the field. The way Wyatt picks up the ball, and flings it back to the stumps - everyone's on it."

  10. Pkn 151-7published at 40 overs

Katherine Brunt in for her ninth over, new batter Asmavia Iqbal is on the defensive and plays out the sixth maiden over of the innings.

As well as being second on the England ODI wicket-taking list, Brunt's also ninth on the all-time world list - as well as Jenny Gunn (120), there's still Cathryn Fitzpatrick (180), Jhulan Goswami (175), Lisa Sthalekar (146), Neetu David (141), Anisa Mohammed (130), Stafanie Taylor (108) and Shashikala Siriwardene (106) above her. And many of those are still playing...

"Given the way England batted so well, will it take the gloss off if they're not able to exert that authority with the ball?"

  12. Pkn 151-7published at 39 overs

Kate Cross is back in the attack, with Amy Jones standing up to the stumps. Nida Dar is off the mark with a four as the game meanders towards a close.

"Katherine will be pleased with that. She's gone a few games without many wickets. She's got couple of wickets now, and she'll be really pleased, as a bowler and especially as an opening bowler. That's what you want to do for the team, take wickets."

  15. wicket

    WICKET - Nawaz b Brunt 4 (Pkn 146-7)published at 38 overs

Nawaz misses, Brunt hits and the Pakistan wicketkeeper is bowled - that's 103 ODI wickets for Brunt, she's now above Clare Taylor (102) on the all-time England list, with only Jenny Gunn (120) above her.

  17. Pkn 145-6published at 37 overs

Two new batters at the crease, Nawaz belatedly beats the ring of infielders with a cover-driven four, the first boundary for several overs. There's a half-hearted shout for lbw as Nawaz sweeps but can't connect.

Ex-England seamer on BBC Test Match Special

"It's a huge position for Danielle Wyatt, one that Lydia Greenway previously occupied. It's a tough challenge, but she's managed pretty well. She's a livewire. Every ball she has to be on it, to keep her concentrating. The next thing now is how she catches in that area."

  19. Pkn 140-6 (Brunt 7-0-26-1)published at 36 overs

Brunt finishes her over with a dot ball to new batter Nida Dar, who won't look back on this match too fondly after going round the park for 78 from her seven overs, and letting one embarrassing boundary straight through her.

  20. wicket

WICKET - Mir run out (Wyatt direct hit) 21 - Pkn 140-6published at 35.4 overs

Gone! She may be batting at number seven and not bowling much these days, but Danielle Wyatt is worth her weight in gold to this side in the field - the bails fly before Mir had grounded her bat behind the line, and the procession continues.
