    Middlesex 210-6 v Kent 119-4 (14 overs)

    Fabian CowdreyImage source, Rex Features

Fabian Cowdrey hoists a six off Paul Stirling and then reaches a 32-ball half-century by putting away a no-ball for four. The next one is a free hit and he clears the rope again as the over costs 20 runs.

Wonder what the 23-year-old's late grandfather, Lord Cowdrey, would have made of T20 cricket?

  2. NOTTS BEAT DERBYSHIRE BY SEVEN WICKETSpublished at 21:26 British Summer Time 24 June 2016
    Breaking

    Notts 120-3 (14.3 overs) v Derbyshire 114 (19.3 overs)

With more than five overs to spare, Notts have hammered near-neighbours Derbyshire tonight.

Derbyshire came undone during an innings when they struggled to get going and were punished by the bowling of Harry Gurney, who took four wickets.

Riki Wessels and Dan Christian put on an unbeaten fourth-wicket stand of 58 to guide Notts to victory.

Christian sealed the victory in style, with a fine six off what proved to be the final ball of the night.

  3. wicket

WICKET Blake (c Fuller b Sowter 3)published at 21:23 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Middlesex 210-6 v Kent 97-4 (12.2 overs)

Australia-born leg-spinner Nathan Sowter strikes for Middlesex as Alex Blake tries to clear the rope, but is foiled as James Fuller takes a good running catch. Sam Billings is now at the crease, but he doesn't have long to take a look.

  4. Essex coasting homepublished at 21:21 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Essex 95-3 (12 overs) v Hampshire 135-8

Ashar Zaidi has had enough of watching Tom Westley have all the fun in the middle as he crashes Tino Best to the mid-wicket boundary.

After sending down a wide, the West Indian throws the ball back at Zaidi and it goes for four overthrows, much to the delight of the crowd.

Essex need 41 off 48 balls to win.

  5. Bears edge towards victorypublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Leicestershire 125-7 v Birmingham Bears 73-2 (10 overs)

Birmingham Bears remain hot favourites to wrap up a win at Grace Road but they have been pegged back, with only 16 coming from the last four overs.

But 53 off 10 overs is hardly even a modest ask these days and it would be quite an upset for them to slip up from here.

  6. Middlesex tighten grippublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Middlesex 210-6 v Kent 96-3 (12 overs)

Fabian Cowdrey hits two successive fours off James Franklin, but Alex Blake has yet to get going and the asking rate continues to climb. Sam Billings is still to come for Kent, but it's going to take something special to get home from here.

  7. DURHAM WIN BY SIX RUNS (D/L)published at 21:14 British Summer Time 24 June 2016
    Breaking

    Durham 68-3 v Yorkshire 134

With a thunder and lightning warning around Durham, the mopping process is unable to get under way at Chester-le-Street despite the rain ceasing.

With little prospect of the weather improving the game is called off and Durham sneak home in the end to pick up a vital win.

Ryan Pringle's 20 off 15 balls, which included a four and a six, proved match winning after Yorkshire fought back terrifically with the ball.

  8. Eagles halfway to victorypublished at 21:12 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Essex 71-3 (10 overs) v Hampshire 135-8

There's plenty of anticipation of the battle between Shahid Afridi and Ashar Zaifi but it's Tom Westley who gets the better of the Pakistani bowler, sending the ball to the boundary ropes twice in the 10th over.

Essex need another 65 runs from the final 10 overs but Hampshire are trying hard for scalps.

  9. wicket

WICKET Northeast (c Podmore b Franklin 41)published at 21:12 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Middlesex 210-6 v Kent 76-3 (9 overs)

That's a big blow to Kent's chances as Sam Northeast opts for aggression to end James Franklin's second over and is caught at third man. Fabian Cowdrey has 25 not out at the other end as Alex Blake comes to the crease.

  10. Notts starting to rallypublished at 21:11 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Notts 87-3 (11 overs) v Derbyshire 114

Here's a stat Derbyshire fans won't like the look of.

Six of the last seven matches involving Derbyshire have been won by the side that batted second.

With that in mind, Daniel Christian has hit two successive sixes and Notts are in touching distance of seizing victory, here.

  11. Game on at Grace Road?published at 21:07 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Leicestershire 125-7 v Birmingham Bears 58-2 (7 overs)

Wickets change games and Leicestershire suddenly have two, with Sam Hain and William Porterfield dismissed in quick succession.

Birmingham Bears are still hot favourites, especially with Ian Bell at the crease and Luke Ronchi still to come, but another wicket or two and the Foxes could give themselves a sniff.

  12. Dawson makes double strike for Hampshirepublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Essex 45-3 (7 overs) v Hampshire 135-8

I am officially a curse for one and all tonight.

Having just finished praising Kishen Velani's start, Liam Dawson came on and had the Essex batsman caught on the boundary before trapping Ravi Bopara lbw for a duck.

We're in for an exciting match at Chelmsford.

  13. Northeast gives hope to Kentpublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Middlesex 210-6 v Kent 62-2 (7 overs)

Sam Northeast is going well for Kent on 36 not out from 21 balls, but the required rate is over 11 if they are to reach their target. Joe Denly was the second batsman dismissed, caught behind in paceman Toby Roland-Jones' initial burst.

  14. GLAMORGAN WIN BY NINE WICKETSpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 24 June 2016
    Breaking

    Glamorgan 114-1 (15.5 overs) v Surrey 110 (19.2 overs)

This night has had it all. Dean Cosker takes his 100th career T20 wicket, Chris Cooke plays his part in five wickets as Glamorgan bowl Surrey out for just 110 with four balls to spare, someone invades the pitch and Colin Ingram makes 73 not out.

That's Glamorgan's fifth win in the T20 Blast this season and they have done it in outstanding fashion.

Surrey, meanwhile, have been well and truly outplayed.

  15. Velani clears the ropespublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Essex 43-1 (6 overs) v Hampshire 135-8

    Kishen VelaniImage source, Rex Features

Kishen Velani is playing just his second T20 Blast match for Essex this season but he's timing the ball to perfection as he launches Gareth Berg for a straight six before following it up with a four.

It has been a comfortable powerplay for the hosts and the Chelmsford crowd are on their feet again.

  16. Bears make rapid progresspublished at 20:57 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Leicestershire 125-7 v Birmingham Bears 49-0 (5 overs)

This is a cruise for Birmingham Bears at the moment, with Sam Hain and Ian Bell both into the 20s at well in excess of a run-a-ball.

It's looking like an early finish at Grace Road at this rate.

    Quote Message

The Bears only need 77 from 15 overs. If they don't get them then there's going to be some fantastic bowling.

  17. LANCASHIRE BEAT WORCESTERSHIRE BY 96 RUNSpublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Lancashire 149-5 (20 overs) v Worcestershire 53 (13.5 overs)

You have to say that's an embarrassing batting display by Worcestershire, who are put out of their misery by the trophy holders as Ed Barnard swings across the line and is bowled by off-spinner Arron Lilley.

It's their lowest T20 score - and the second lowest in domestic T20 cricket in England after Northants' 47 all out against Durham in 2011.

  18. wicket

WICKET Smith (run out 12)published at 20:53 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Notts 45-2 (6 overs) v Derbyshire 114

What an end to the powerplay! Greg Smith hits a six, then two balls later works a boundary from the bowling of Andy Carter before he's run out in the following ball.

  19. wicket

WICKET Henry (c Clark b Parry 0)published at 20:47 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Lancashire 149-5 v Worcestershire 52-9 (13 overs)

Ben Cox holes out at deep square leg off Stephen Parry and and the slow left-armer's next over sees three more Worcestershire batsmen gift their wickets away as Brett D'Oliveira, Joe Leach and Matt Henry give the fielders catching practice.

Parry completes his four overs with figures of 5-13 - the best for Lancashire in a T20 match.

  20. 50 runs

Colin Ingram reaches his fiftypublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Glamorgan 84-1 (12 overs) v Surrey 110

Colin Ingram has hit a half-century for the second week on the bounce and what a way to do it.

The Glamorgan batsman, who reached 60 against Kent last week, launches a fierce six into the south Wales sky.

Glammy are looking very good this season.
