  1. wicket

WICKET Ryder (c McManus b Sammy 18)published at 20:44 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Essex 26-1 (3.2 overs) v Hampshire 135-8

What was I saying about losing early wickets?

Darren Sammy strikes in his first over as he has dangerman Jesse Ryder caught behind for 18.

I doubt the hosts will be panicking just yet but it has quietened down the crowd a fair bit.

  2. 6 runs

1,000 T20 Bears runs for Bellpublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Leicestershire 125-7 v Birmingham Bears 23-0 (2 overs)

If you're a batsman, surely the best way to bring up a milestone is with a six?

That's just what Ian Bell does here as he launches a free hit off Ben Raine for a maximum to take him to 1,000 T20 runs for Warwickshire and the Birmingham Bears.

With 18 off that Raine over, the Bears are already well on the way to their target.

The Bears are in complete control here. If they were batting first you would think they were well on the way to 200 here.

  3. wicket

WICKET Lumb (lbw Madsen 12)published at 20:41 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Notts 22-1 (2.5 overs) v Derbyshire 114

The first wicket of the Notts innings has fallen and it's Wayne Madsen who does the honours, as he traps Michael Lumb lbw.

Greg Smith comes out in place of Lumb but Notts will still be feeling confident. They require another 93 runs and should not be too much of a problem.

Derbyshire will need a few more wickets if they are to come anywhere close to taking victory over their neighbours tonight.

  4. Ryder gives Essex fast startpublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Essex 17-0 (2 overs) v Hampshire 135-8

    Joe WeatherleyImage source, Rex Features

Jesse Ryder is not hanging around, sending the first ball of the innings to the boundary rope for four, off debutant Joe Weatherley.

Despite chasing a relatively modest total, the hosts will do well to avoid losing early wickets - like many of the other teams around the country this evening.

  5. wicket

    WICKET Latham (b Roland-Jones 0)published at 20:39 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Middlesex 210-6 v Kent 0-1 (0.1 overs)

With leading run-scorer Daniel Bell-Drummond unfit, Tom Latham opens up for Kent. It is a brief innings - one the New Zealander will hope to forget very quickly.

  6. Glamorgan coasting against Surreypublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Glamorgan 68-1 (10 overs) v Surrey 110

Glamorgan are at the halfway stage and they're looking very comfortable at the crease.

Not even a brief intermission to clear a pitch invader can stop them. Colin Ingram sends two Gareth Batty deliveries to the boundary and Surrey look unable to stop this partnership.

Jacques Rudolph has hit three fours himself and this 72-run second-wicket stand is quickly ushering Glamorgan towards victory.

  7. wicket

WICKET Whiteley (st Moores b Parry 1)published at 20:34 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Lancashire 149-5 v Worcestershire 25-5 (6.4 overs)

The procession continues at Old Trafford as spinner Stephen Parry fires a wide down the leg-side and Tom Moores completes a smart stumping to go with his two catches. Oh dear, Ross Whiteley.

  8. Rain halts play at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Durham 68-3 (9.5 overs) v Yorkshire 134

Gordon Muchall drives Azeem Rafiq straight down the ground for four before the umpires bring the players off as the rain sets in at Durham.

The hosts are ahead of the Duckworth-Lewis rate, by six runs should no further play be possible. It looks ominous for Yorkshire, if I'm honest.

  9. Jets keep up with Duckworth Lewispublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Durham 60-3 (9 overs) v Yorkshire 134

It is of course a very British thing to sit and talk about the weather but as the lightning flashes nearby and the rain threatens to come down, we could well have an interruption at Chester-le-Street pretty soon.

Ryan Pringle has cleared the ropes to keep Durham up with the required Duckworth-Lewis rate, with the hosts needing to be 64-3 at the end of the 10th over, as the umpires have a brief discussion,.

  10. wicket

WICKET Clarke (c Guptill b Buck 9)published at 20:28 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Lancashire 149-5 v Worcestershire 21-4 (5 overs)

This is magnificent stuff from Nathan Buck, who picks up his third wicket as Joe Clarke flails a catch to point. Presumably Worcestershire had some sort of plan for chasing down their target, but there's little sign of one at the moment.

You get out of this powerplay and have the option of putting the fielders back, but in this situation, why would you?"

  11. Tough target for Kentpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Middlesex 210-6 (20 overs) v Kent

    Brendan McCullumImage source, Getty Images

Brendan McCullum lofts the first ball of the final over for his fifth six to take the Middlesex score past 200. The visitors aren't able to reach or clear the boundary again, and McCullum finishes on 87 not out after a bye from the final delivery.

  12. Glamorgan ticking alongpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Glamorgan 48-1 (7 overs) v Surrey 110

Despite losing David Lloyd early on, Glamorgan have grabbed the bull by the horns with Jacques Rudolph and Colin Ingram combining to steady the ship.

Rudolph has hit a useful 20 while his partner at the crease Colin Ingram has hit three fours and a six for his 27.

Surrey need to force a wicket and they could do with it sooner rather than later.

  13. Postpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Essex v Hampshire 135-8 (20 overs)

    Adam Williams

    Essex celebrateImage source, Rex Features

"After a decent platform from Michael Carberry and Tom Alsop at the top of the order, Hampshire got themselves in an absolute tangle.

"Sean Ervine's innings was perhaps the most peculiar. The Hampshire captain was out in the middle for almost half an hour, facing nine balls for just three runs.

"Hampshire, who've struggled for runs in the competition so far this campaign, must be at least 25 runs short of par."

  14. Interval - Hampshire struggle to 133-8published at 20:25 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Essex v Hampshire 133-8

Hampshire never recovered from losing Michael Carberry and Tom Alsop at the top of the order as Graham Napier (3-31) and Ravi Bopara (2-15) strangled the middle order.

Gareth Andrew's unbeaten 13 off eight balls, which included a huge six, just about helped the visitors past 130 but the Eagles will be eyeing just their second win in the South group.

  15. Foxes post modest totalpublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Leicestershire 125-7 (20 overs) v Birmingham Bears

Birmingham Bears will be happy enough with their efforts there, restricting Leicestershire to 125-7 from their 20 overs.

The tight early bowling from Oliver Hannon-Dalby, Rikki Clarke and Mark Adair did the damage as the Foxes were restricted to 25-3 at the end of the six-over powerplay.

Leicestershire fought back, taking 81 from the final 10 overs, but with only two overs going for double figures, you would expect Birmingham to complete the win that will take them top of the North group.

  16. wicket

WICKET Kervezee (c Parry b Clark 4)published at 20:21 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Lancashire 149-5 v Worcestershire 18-3 (3.2 overs)

Worcestershire certainly aren't batting like a side near the top of their group table and Alexei Kervezee gives his wicket away with a poor shot which ends in the hands of Stephen Parry. Brett D'Oliveira is next in, and the visitors need to find a way to build a partnership.

  17. McCullum boosts Middlesex totalpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Middlesex 181-6 (18 overs) v Kent

Middlesex still have hopes of reaching 200 as Brendan McCullum collects four at the start of paceman Mitchell Claydon's third over. The New Zealander then smashes a six before two off the final delivery moves him to 76 not out.

Ryan Higgins is with McCullum now after Nick Gubbins skied a catch off Matt Hunn and departed for 11.

  18. wicket

WICKET Stokes (c Williamson b Lyth 5)published at 20:16 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Durham 38-3 (5.1 overs) v Yorkshire 134

    Ben StokesImage source, Getty Images

Well that's put the cat amongst the pigeons!

Ben Stokes is caught at cover at the third attempt by Kane Williamson off Adam Lyth's first ball.

Yorkshire have clawed their way back into the game and Durham are now behind Duckworth Lewis and really struggling.

  19. wicket

WICKET Mitchell (c Moores b Buck 5)published at 20:16 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Lancashire 149-5 v Worcestershire 13-2 (2.2 overs)

Clark bowls to Clarke at Old Trafford - and the latter, Joe, drives the final ball from the former, Jordan, for the first boundary of the Worcestershire innings.

The Rapids, though, suffer a second setback as another short ball from Nathan Buck is fended off down the leg-side by Daryl Mitchell, and Tom Moores again takes the catch.

  20. Interval - Derbyshire all out for 114published at 20:15 British Summer Time 24 June 2016

    Derbyshire 114 (19.3 overs) v Notts

After a terrible final over, it's all over and Derbyshire have been put out of their misery.

Ben Cotton went for four while Andy Carter was the last to go, with Harry Gurney bowling the pair of them in successive balls.

Notts have bowled them out for 114 and you have to say that is a very conservative target for the visitors.

Will Derbyshire be able to fight back when Notts come out to bat?
