  • Eng 366-4 beat Pkn 164 by 202 runs

  • Elwiss 77; Sciver 48 from 22 balls

  • Brunt 5-30, Marsh 3-29

  1. Pak 126-5 (Mir 15, Dar 6)published at 34 overs

Knight removes herself from the attack to give Alex Hartley a second spell - Dar is beaten in the flight by a loopy delivery which she attempts to sweep, but it's called a wide. There's an appeal for lbw but there appeared to be some bat on that. Hartley has to wait longer for that elusive first wicket, but it's just two singles from a tidy over.

  2. Pak 124-5published at 33 overs

A slight sense of going through the motions as Pakistan take two singles from Marsh's eighth over. For those of you keeping track, the required run rate is now north of 14, and Pakistan aren't remotely threatening that.

  4. Pak 122-5 (target 367)published at 32 overs

Heather Knight to continue, with a slip in, but after a single from Mir, Dar finds the gap with a well-struck four threaded through the covers which has two fielders chasing it and it keeps them interested all the way to the rope. ("The perfect four", we would say in the team I play for). A good way to get off the mark.

  5. Pak 117-5 (Marsh 7-1-18-2)published at 31 overs

Nida Dar is the new batter - fair to say she could do with a big knock after a less than stellar series with the ball and in the field. She plays out the rest of a wicket maiden from Marsh.

"Laura's been bowling well and getting more turn than any of the other spinners. She's always had the ability to turn it, even on wickets which don't appear to have too much in them. Many people might have gone for Danielle Hazell but I think it's a good move to go for Laura."

    WICKET - Nawaz b Marsh 47 (Pak 117-5)published at 30.1 overs

I must apologise to Sidra Nawaz for a blatant commentator's curse as she's bowled through the gate by a perfectly flighted off break, handing Marsh her first wicket. But she's bumped up her highest ODI score from 12 to 47.

  8. Pak 117-4 (target 367)published at 30 overs

Remarkably, Sidra Nawaz is only one shot away from reaching her maiden ODI fifty - remarkable because she had previously made only 33 from seven innings in nine ODIs, with a highest score of 12. Knight is quickly through her fourth over, a single takes Nawaz to 47 from 67 balls.

  9. Pak 113-4published at 29 overs

Pakistan look to step up the pace against Marsh, Nawaz twice spooning shots just over the ring of off-side fielders - but they land safely both times. Still just ones and twos from the fifth-wicket pair.

Ex-England batter on BBC Test Match Special

"Although Pakistan are well behind England here they will have their own little targets still. They'll want to better their best total of the series which was 166 at Worcester."

  11. Pak 109-4 (Nawaz 43, Mir 9)published at 28 overs

Knight picked up a maiden five-for in the first game of this series at Leicester, but she's lucky not to concede a boundary when she tosses up a big full toss - and redeems herself by diving to her left to stop Nawaz's fierce punch back towards the bowler. A Nawaz single looks to be the only blemish on the over until Mir dabs the last ball for a well-run two to third man.

  12. Pak 106-4published at 27 overs

Laura Marsh to continue - so England have two seamers-turned-spinners bowling in tandem. Mir and Nawaz prod a couple of singles, but it's a tidy over from the Kent off-spinner.

  13. Watch: Maroof is out to Marsh for 33published at 16:05 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

Bismah Maroof batted well today - until she hit the ball straight to extra cover, as you can see here...

  14. Pak 104-4 (target 367)published at 26 overs

With the players refreshed, skipper Heather Knight - soon to lead the Western Storm on this very ground (with Knight and Shrubsole in their ranks, they'll have the England captain and vice-captain) begins her second over. Her opposite number Sana Mir moves to five with a delicately dabbed two to fine leg, and nicks the strike with a single.

"Taunton's always been a ground where the England team has been well supported, they always get good crowds here. The Western Storm will be based here during the Super League, so the Somerset public will be able to see a lot of them."

Thanks, Timothy.Well, while we're not expecting Pakistan to suddenly blitz 10 or 11 an over from here to go on and win, there will be plenty of intrigue before this game is done and dusted. I'd imagine, for instance, that getting a wicket or two for Alex Hartley would be high on England's priority list.

  19. Pak 101-4published at 25 overs

Good control from Marsh who also offers a few tempting flighted deliveries. Nawaz uses her feet to punch the ball down the ground and Pakistan make it to three figures. England's total looks a long way off, though.

  20. 'Nerves getting to Hartley'published at 15:56 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

    Charlotte Edwards
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

"You feel for Hartley - it's her debut, against not one of the top-ranked teams. She'd have hoped to get her first few wickets under her belt. But she's obviously felt the nerves getting to her, as I've not seen her bowl like this in county cricket."
