  1. wicket

    WICKET - Elwiss b Mir 77 (Eng 225-2)published at 12:55 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

That is either a poor shot from Elwiss or great anticipation from Sana Mir. Either way, Elwiss has just been bowled down the leg side, when trying another charge-down. So no century for Elwiss, not that any of us brazenly predicted. No siree!

  2. Eng 212-1 (Elwiss 69, Beaumont 88)published at 38 overs

So, another chance gone for Pakistan. Nida Dar not doing herself any favours in the outfield, remember she had a poor slip previously which went for four. Meanwhile, Elwiss and Beaumont take the partnership past 150. The batters share a four each, as Tariq's over yields 12

  3. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 37.1

Oh dear, Nida Dar! She really made a hash of that one. Elwiss took on Maham Tariq with a heave towards deep mid-wicket, and Dar was readying for a catch. The result? Ball slips past her raised hands for four.

  4. Missed stumpingpublished at 37 overs

    Eng 200-1

Oof! Beaumont nearly gives her wicket away with another charge down the wicket. She misses the ball completely and is nearly stumped. Although the keeper Sidra Nawaz didn't really get hold of it. But still, another chance gone for Pakistan, and England then move to 200.

  5. 'Beaumont is maturing'published at 12:45 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

    Isa Guha
Ex-England seamer on BBC Test Match Special

"Tammy Beaumont has shown real signs of maturity. She's normally an enforcer but has batted in a different way today.

"She's hit her third consecutive half-century while Georgia Elwiss has batted well looking to consolidate her place at no.3 in the order. I think England have adapted to the pitch and the bigger boundaries. They didn't go too hard at the top and just eased themselves into the match.

"Nobody in Pakistan's attack has looked that threatening, though. The spinners haven't really looked very dangerous. There's so many spaces in the ground to take singles."

  6. Eng 194-1published at 36 overs

Right, what with it being my live-text debut and all that, I shall play a relatively gutsy shot and say both these England batters are on course for a century today. Beaumont made her debut ton at Worcester, so in definite good nick. A quick check of the *jinx-o-meter* tells me I should maybe definitely be okay. Sana Mir sort of makes up for her earlier dropped catch with a good piece of fielding from a Beaumont drive.

  7. Watch: Elwiss hits a fourpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

Here's Georgia Elwiss tucking into spinner Nida Dar with a lofted drive for a first-bounce four.

  8. Powerplay - Englandpublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

The batting powerplay is taken at the start of the 36th over. Maham Tariq, who debuted at Worcester and took two wickets, to bowl it.

  9. Eng 186-1published at 35 overs

Bismah Maroof, the right-arm leg-spinner, goes through her third over fairly quickly. Elwiss, meanwhile, has just passed her highest ODI score for England. She reaches 62 with a single.

  10. 'England can clear the ropes'published at 12:36 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

    Ebony Rainford-Brent
Ex-England batter on BBC Test Match Special

"The boundaries are bit longer here and we haven't seen a six yet. There's been a couple of one-bounce fours so if they really go for it I think they can clear the ropes a few times.

"England have really capitalised on any little errors that Pakistan have made so far."

  11. Eng 182-1 (Elwiss 60, Beaumont 71)published at 34 overs

Beaumont again slices past the slip area (no fielders there though) as Maham Tariq begins a new spell for Pakistan. The visitors may want to shuffle the field a bit. Although if it's not your day with catches, not sure how much impact that can have.

  12. Eng 174-1published at 33 overs

So aside from Sana Mir's drop, England still going steadily. You wonder how many runs Pakistan have leaked because of poor fielding, and how many effectively bonus runs England have scored because of missed dismissal chances. One for the stats people, methinks!

  13. 'Could be a damaging day for Pakistan'published at 12:30 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

    Ebony Rainford-Brent
Ex-England batter on BBC Test Match Special

"England are in a really comfortable position. Tammy Beaumont is looking very settled. If England get going in the powerplay it could be a really damaging day for Pakistan.

"I feel like Pakistan's fielding has got worse throughout the series. Really it should get better as you feel the body get going but that's not been the case."

  14. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 32.1 overs

Sana Mir, the captain of all people, has now dropped a chance! This is going from bad to worse for Pakistan. Another full toss, this time bowled by Maroof, and Elwiss charged down and struck it fiercely to mid-on, and though Mir got two hands to it, the ball popped out.

  15. Eng 170-1published at 32 overs

Asmavia Iqbal, who gave away 11 in her first over, is into the second over of her second spell. She still looks nervous, more full tosses. Perhaps that time out on the naughty step (read: outfield) has not been spent all that wisely. Elwiss takes a four off her followed by some easy singles for the duo before Beaumont slices one past short third-man for four.

  16. Watch: Beaumont's four brings up the 50 partnershippublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

Here's another lofted four from Tammy Beaumont which sealed the fifty stand.

  17. Eng 159-1 (Elwiss 51, Beaumont 57)published at 31 overs

Oh dear! Bad play all round as Maroof bowls a poor full toss that nearly was a no-ball but Beaumont, who would have normall whacked it for six, can only loop it towards fine leg.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Elwisspublished at 30 overs

    Eng 152-1

Feel like I'm repeating myself, in a way, but nevertheless Elwiss follows her batting partner into a half-century. Another single off Iqbal to do so and she gets to her second fifty of the series.

  19. 50 runs

50 for Beaumontpublished at 29.1 overs

    Eng 147-1

Batted, Beaumont. Takes Asmavia Iqbal for a single to square leg to reach the milestone. Not much of a celebration and rightly so, there's work to do. Not least to make sure she doesn't give this away. She nearly loops a full toss straight to mid-on a couple of deliveries later.

  20. Eng 146-1 (Elwiss 48, Beaumont49)published at 29 overs

Elwiss and Beaumont showing some good running between the wickets to sneak a double. Elwiss then metes out the treatment over mid-off to Nida Dar. Another four to the tally. Both batters are using their feet really well here.
