  1. Heroes not just for one daypublished at 12:13 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

Soprano Laura Wright, who sings the new English women's cricket anthem 'Heroes', has popped into the TMS commentary box.

"I am a huge cricket fan," she says. "I am singer first and foremost but I grew up loving sport. Over the past few years I've really come to love cricket.

"I wanted to create something that could use going forward and that was the idea behind the song 'Heroes'. Jerusalem is associated with the men's team and we wanted something different. It's building on an exciting time for women's cricket."

  2. Eng 135-1published at 28 overs

Beaumont launches into Amin over mid-off for four which is around a few singles. She's nearing her half-century and no reason why she can't kick on for another big score.

  3. Watch: Beaumont hits Yousuf for fourpublished at 12:11 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

Tammy Beaumont is going along nicely - here's a powerful four through mid-wicket.

  4. Eng 129-1 (Elwiss 37, Beaumont 43)published at 27 overs

More fielding folly from Pakistan as they concede a single, which becomes three thanks to overthrows. What kind of a total are we looking at then for the hosts? 330? 350? Or will they surpass the Worcester total?

  5. Eng 124-1 (Amin 5-0-21-0)published at 26 overs

Elwiss playing the glances, as England ease their way into the second half of the innings. Anam Amim has had a relatively stingy set of figures, for a spinner anyway.

  6. No pressurepublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

    Eng 118-1

Thanks Mark, it's a good time to be covering England by the looks of it.

The hosts are moving along very nicely, and there is no pressure on them in terms of the series either.

At 118-1, you would expect them to cross 300 yet again, though whether there is any more record-breaking remains to be seen.

  7. Scorecard updatepublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

  8. drinks break

    Drinks breakpublished at 25 overs

    Eng 118-1

Slightly better from Dar, but Elwiss plunders a rare three - the Worcester boundaries were too short for any threes - and Beaumont, having not scored an ODI fifty before this series, is closing in on her third successive half-century. Time for drinks.

And Alex Hartley isn't the only debutant today - for the rest of the England innings, here's Bibhash Dash making his BBC live text debut. Please be gentle with him.

  9. Eng 113-1 (Beaumont 38, Elwiss 26)published at 24 overs

England are being cheered on by plenty of schoolchildren, one group are all dressed in high-vis yellow vests. Hopefully they're being suitably indoctrinated into this great game - even the one in the Bayern Munich shirt. (Do you get many of those in Somerset? What's wrong with Yeovil Town?). Yousuf quickly through her over, three singles from it.

  10. Eng 110-1published at 23 overs

Dar, bowling in her sunglasses in the style of Graeme Swann (but without the ex-England offie's flight and control), She switches to bowling round the wicket but Beaumont takes the aerial route again, lofting another four over mid-on to bring up the fifty stand.

  11. 'Pakistan have been poor in the field'published at 11:52 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

    Charlotte Edwards
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

"It's been a great start by England. 100-1 after 20 or so overs and Tammy Beaumont has started to open her shoulders a bit. Pakistan haven't been very attacking which I haven't been happy with.

"Some of Pakistan's players have not fielded well. They haven't looked great. When your bowlers are not hitting their lines you need your fielders to back you up and they haven't done that.

"I would England are looking at anywhere between 280 and 300."

  12. Eng 104-1 (Yousuf 6-0-25-0)published at 22 overs

Yousuf to continue for her sixth over, the imposing edifice of the New Pavilion behind her, but England are ticking along nicely. At the risk of a commentator's curse, aside from the wicket, it hasn't felt like they've been in any danger.

  13. Eng 100-1 (Beaumont 29, Elwiss 22)published at 21 overs

Nida Dar, who's not had the best of it in the field this series - and went round the park for 78 from seven overs when she bowled at Worcester - comes on to bowl some off-spin, but she gets more punishment from Beaumont who lofts the ball over mid-on for four. A couple of singles mean England have three figures on the board.

  15. Eng 94-1published at 20 overs

Pakistan's spinners continue to wheel away, England continue to make steady progress - there's a brief glimmer for the tourists when the ball hits the stumps from a direct hit when Beaumont pushes a quick single, there's a quick reference to the third umpire but it's an easy "not out" decision.

  16. 'Mir has the wrong field'published at 11:43 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

    Charlotte Edwards
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

"I am still not happy with Sana Mir's field. She needs to attack the stumps and is bowling too wide of off-stump. She needs to be bowling straighter with a tighter field.

"It's not a very attacking field and there's a massive gap on the leg side for England's batters to just play with the spin."

  17. Eng 89-1published at 19 overs

Elwiss clicks into gear as she whacks Mir for two fours in three deliveries - the second of which is a rather bad lapse by Nida Dar, who overruns the ball and lets it through for four. Dar was guilty of letting one or two through at Worcester, though I guess the ball tends to follow you if you're having a bad run in the field.

Four more for Elwiss means she's nearly caught Beaumont up - Elwiss has 20 from 27 balls, Beaumont has 21 from 37.

  18. Watch: Winfield caught by Mirpublished at 11:38 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

We've had one or two technical problems with the video highlights today, but here's Lauren Winfield's dismissal:

  19. 'Beaumont's found her feet'published at 11:38 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

    Charlotte Edwards
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

"Tammy is just getting going now. In the last few overs she's found her feet and smashed that through mid-wicket."

  20. Eng 77-1 (Beaumont 21, Elwiss 8)published at 18 overs

Beaumont finds the boundary for the second time today, clubbing a half-tracker from Yousuf through mid-wicket for four. Yousuf's action reminds me a little of fellow left-arm spinner Samit Patel, she has 0-17 from four overs.
