Philip Pugh: Pakistan two down on a batter's pitch. Are we ACTUALLY playing well??? Could become a habit!

Fenners: I've been a critic of his in the past, but Woakes is steadily becoming a useful part of this team.

Dave Richardson, ICC chief executive: "It is not an easy decision.

"Golf is a very good lesson to be learned. They have put a lot of work in and for the top players not play they will probably be under fire from IOC.

"It raises the question for cricket, is it really a good thing?

"Will cricketers regard the Olympics are pinnacle? If it is not, then should it be there in the first place?

"I still think the majority of members believe if cricket was at Olympics it would do wonders for the game.

"If we want to truly globalise the game, engage China, America, Asia and parts of Europe then we have to be at the Olympics."

ICC chief executive Dave Richardson: "Because we are reducing the volume of unnecessary Test match cricket, if England and Australia end up in different divisions there would still be time to let the Ashes happen because of its history."

More from Dave Richardson: "If someone is consistently bad and play in Division Two then it may reduce interest but the plan is to have a competition run over two year period.

"So if you are relegated it is only for two years and if they win the second division then they are back up again."

    BBC Test Match Special

ICC chief executive Dave Richardson: "If you look at teams that are the lower ranked full members, the Test cricket being played is pretty average, no one is watching.

"We either have to stick with what we have, which is poor, or try something which I think will be better.

Jake Ball - had to double-check you weren't talking about the Welsh Rugby Union international! So that leads to the question: Are there any other cricketers who share their name with international sportsmen from other sports?

ICC chief executive Dave Richardson on TMS: "Some countries are nervous about promotion and relegation.

"If we do introduce a model along those lines it has to be underpinned by a financial model."

Cricket fans are not always of the armchair variety, you know? Even before Pakistan began their Test at Lord’s, their fans were getting a one-up on the Barmy Army, in a twenty20 in Birmingham.

The National Asian Cricket Council, formed last year to boost participation levels among British Asians, secured a 35-run win at Attock Cricket Club.

I think it is a matter of runs for Pakistan because they have got decent seamers and I am not sure how well England will play the leg spinner.

It's been a hard-fought opening session at Lord's, with England happy to remove both openers but knowing Pakistan have plenty of batting to come.

Chris Woakes had Shan Masood caught behind, then induced Mohammad Hafeez (40) into a rash pull shot and the ball went high into the north London sky before being pouched by Jonny Bairstow running round to square leg.

Jake Ball, on debut, has looked threatening while Stuart Broad had Hafeez dropped on 11 by James Vince in the slips.

Pakistan will be disappointed they gave away two wickets.

That's yer lot, the end of a pretty competitive morning. On a decent deck, Pakistan have the benefit of first use and have made steady progress. England will be pretty satisfied with their two wickets. Pretty level, you devils.

I haven't seen anything this morning that tells me Finn is in his best rhythm.

England don't like to change the team too much and that's a good thing but you can over do it.
