Sarfraz has been a very positive influence on Pakistan's batting, but they aren't looking for runs here. It's a different mental approach. Can he change and still play well? It's very different.

That's also a pair for Asad Shafiq by the way. Dismissed for an 18-ball duck in the first innings. This time, he's gone in just his fourth delivery. Finn bowls a maiden as someone in the crowd plays "Livin' on a prayer" on a trumpet. Probably not a Pakistan backer I'm guessing.

It's out at Edgbaston, it's out in our back garden. If my dad didn't give that out, I'd be playing hell up.

Shafiq lbw Woakes 0 (Pak 125-5)

Another one bites the dust. Woakes begins a new spell and almost immediately makes the breakthrough. Shafiq plays and misses at a full delivery, it hits him on the front pad and the umpire slowly raises the finger. A review in vain, as replays show it was hitting leg stump - umpire's call. England jubilant, and sensing a victory push.

It's missing off and missing leg, hitting middle half way up.

Shafiq is hit on the pad and given out. He reviews.

That's Finn's first wicket since removing Sri Lanka's Lahiru Thirimanne at Lord's. It's been 71.3 overs, 228 runs.

So a first wicket of the match for Finn. And after his frustrations over the last four days, it's the least he deserves. He undid Misbah with a fuller ball and Pakistan's skipper may well regret playing at it. He would have wanted to be there till the end - whenever that comes - but Aslam is now the visitors' best hope of a draw you feel.

Merlyn: FIIIINNNNNYY! Misbah gone. Are England in? Wow. What a turnaround!!!

Kevin Ticehurst: Well bowled Finny!!! Still more work to do, but come on England!!

Kamran Asghar: Being a Pakistan fan, it's squeaky bum time!!!

Pakistan are in trouble. That is a huge wicket. It was a good delivery. Whatever he's doing, he's got the ball to move away. Once you hit the right line, it is a wicket-taking ball.

    Misbah c Bairstow b Finn 10 (Pak 124-4)

A wicket at last for the Watford Wall. Misbah is caught behind trying to play forward. Finn's excellent delivery had a bit of a wobble to it, the shiny side on the outside, and it catches the edge. Simple catch for Bairstow this time, but I got the sense it was a similar shot to what got Younus out.

That's not a smart shot. The law of averages says if he keeps doing that he will hit one in the air.

    Aslam 69, Misbah 10

Aslam has thrown that bat around wide of off stump a fair few times, and it at last produces a result. Like that soldier bloke from 300, he strides out to Moeen, takes a low to high swing and lofts it over mid-off for four. Would have worked very well in super slo-mo replays as well. No time to rest, as the next ball is cut away to the point boundary.

That is a lovely garden. And a very snazzy pair of slippers in the foreground as well I must say. Steven Finn gets Aslam in a bit of trouble trying to play outside off, the ball moved away just a smidge and narrowly misses the edge.

    Aslam 61, Misbah 8

Cut. Four. Aslam does well to rock back and slice Moeen through to third man for four. But the spinner responds with a lovely straighter delivery, which Aslam leaves, though he probably wasn't aware how deliciously close it was to his off stump. Inches to the left and he'd have been a goner!

Roman cricket is a brilliant example. You've already got the people using fingers to declare you "out" or "in" haven't you? Anderson gives away just one, and also finds an inside edge off Aslam but it's not even close to carrying to Bairstow.

Pak 106-3published at 15:00 British Summer Time 7 August 2016

I wish we had an "Ouch x 2" icon. James Vince has taken a battering at silly point, as Aslam continues to try and whack one over mid-off. The first attempt nearly smacked Vince in the unmentionables, his thigh got in the way, while the second clocked his left foot. Prevented runs though. Earlier, Aslam broke the mini-run drought with a four over mid-on.
