There's absolutely no point in Finn staying on the pitch.

More trouble for England, as Steven Finn pulls up clutching his left hamstring after pulling it on his bowling follow-through. Just his second delivery, and he seems in a bit of pain. Captain Cook runs over to check, the physio gets him lying down, and eventually the cabinet decides he's better off in the dressing room. Moeen Ali to finish the over.

I'm sure Norman Cowans took 6-10 for Middlesex against Lancashire once - he walked off with a five-for and Wasim Akram bowled us out.

Rae: What has Bayliss actually done for this team? Batting is still so poor and fielding inconsistent, worth the money?
Target 40
Amazing field set for Azhar Ali after Aslam sneaks a single. Woakes gets three slips, a gully, backward point, cover, a silly mid-on and mid-on. At least we can't say Cook's not being attacking. Pakistan are on the board anyway. The visiting fans have not stopped shouting "Pakistan Zindabad" since the morning I think - with good reason, of course!

Yasir Shah ends the series with 19 wickets at 40.73.
Target 40
Azhar Ali and Sami Aslam walk out for Pakistan, a fist bump on the edge of the boundary and they jog over to the middle. England will begin with Chris Woakes. Clearly the golden arm of the summer will be given arguably his earliest chance to make inroads. Play!

Dave Wood: Why is it whenever England lose a Test, that all of a sudden half the side should be dropped. We hold eight out of nine Test trophies!
Cheers Mitch! If we live in a world where humans can land a one-metre-cube spacecraft on a comet a billion miles away, I think we must always entertain the possibility that Pakistan can lose 10 wickets for 39 runs.
It's a different story that we can land a spacecraft that far away and yet Michael Vaughan and I can't get phone signal. But let's put that to one side and get ready for the run chase.
And to talk you through the successful Pakistan run chase - or alternatively, the most exciting England bowling performance in the history of cricket - it will be Bibhash Dash.

In the end that angle from the off-spinner worked and Anderson could not stop himself from playing that shot. Credit to Pakistan and the bowling effort from Yasir Shah. When Pakistan needed him to bounce back, he's done that here at The Oval.
Anderson lbw b Iftikhar 17 (Eng 253 all out)
Gone! Anderson's luck runs out as he misses with another sweep shot to part-time off-spinner Iftikhar Ahmed (handed the last over before the new ball) - and this time the umpire raises his finger.
Pakistan need 40 to win the Test and draw the series 2-2.

Once Pakistan get runs on the board, they become a competitive side. Their bowling has always been good.
New ball available in one over
These two have hung around for six overs now - another failed slog-sweep from Anderson has Yasir yelling an lbw appeal at the top of his voice. But he's an over and a half away from getting his reviews back. I say "his", I mean Pakistan's. (Impact was outside the line again) England's narrow lead is boosted by four byes down the leg side - and a flashing back-foot on-drive for four by the smiling Finn takes the innings score past 250 and the lead to 39.

It's been an enjoyable stint from Anderson. He's reverse-swept, he's survived Yasir Shah and now a crushing strike. Any left-hander would be proud of that strike.
Lead by 30
A flowing cover drive from Anderson has the crowd (especially those showing the effect of a few beers) on their feet, while the "Burnley Lara" moves to 16 with a tip-and-run single to point. Finn joins in the fun with a two, before having to sway out of the way of a bouncer from the frustrated Sohail.
And not that TMS are pessimistic about England's chances about taking this into a fifth day (or even an evening session) - but they're already making plans to switch commentary to the Roses match after the conclusion of this game.

JT: Bring in Roy for Hales and move Moeen up and bring in Stokes and Rashid for Vince and Ballance.
New ball available in three overs
Anderson attempts a bloodthirsty sweep shot against Yasir, a big appeal as it hits him in the midriff... nothing doing from umpire Erasmus. Probably hit him outside the line.

Glen James: I'm calling it. Jimmy makes his first test ton, ably assisted by a Finn 50. Pakistan out for 100 by lunch tomorrow. #optimist, external
Lead by 21
England are trying to eke this innings out as best they can, taking any single that's there. Right-arm paceman Sohail Khan into the attack, trying to take that final wicket, but Finn is sturdy in defence, while Anderson plays a perfectly-timed leg glance for four.
England lead by... a mighty 21.
