No, that clearly bounced before Shafiq grabbed it at leg gully. In Pakistan's defence, at no point did they appeal or claim that catch - the umpires just wanted to check.

14:20 BST 14 August 2016Is that a chance? Broad prods forward, the ball goes towards leg gully, did that carry? Umpires are going to check.

Steven Finn needs to be the "Watford Wall" here, as he was in that Test in Dunedin. But he edges his first ball from Wahab... and it flies away for four where third slip should have been. Why no third slip, Misbah? That reduces the deficit to one - and Finn then guides a two wide of mid-on, earning a huge round of applause as England have avoided the innings defeat. I guess that was the first objective.

Bob Hawkins: If ever there's a good time for Broad to score his second Test century....this is it.

Suddenly England have two new batsmen at the crease - Stuart Broad and Steven Finn. Neither has faced a ball. And there's a big appeal for leg before to Broad's second ball... impact outside the line as he was sweeping? Maiden over.

Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match SpecialBairstow perhaps still thinking about the run out realising that was the last partnership chance. Perhaps this just held on the pitch a bit. But a good catch. It was low down and he just scooped it off the turf.

Two in two balls! As if chastened by that run-out, Bairstow drives in the air to extra cover where Azhar Ali takes the catch. Not too dissimilar to the James Vince dismissal yesterday.
England sinking like a stone here. They still trail by five.

Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match SpecialGreat piece of fielding by the big bowler. He's hustled to get that, on his knees, and almost in one motion swiveled round and hit the stumps. Chris Woakes who's normally nimble-footed, is gone.

14:06 BST 14 August 2016Woakes run out 4 (Eng 209-7)
England are in Calamity Canyon here. Bairstow prods the recalled Wahab Riaz into the on side, Woakes sets off for a single, is sent back as Wahab chases after the ball, and the bowler throws down the stumps at the non-striker's end with Woakes short of his ground.
Wahab and Woakes almost got in each other's way then, but I don't think either of them were guilty of obstructing the other.

14:03 BST 14 August 201665 overs
England's deficit slips into single figures as Bairstow takes a single from the last ball of a rapid Yasir over.
There are still, potentially, 56 more overs today. Plus eight more if a team were to take the extra half-hour.

Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match SpecialI don't think Sohail Khan would make the diving squad.
After Sohail Khan puts in an ungainly dive in a not-so-successful attempt at saving a boundary, Phil Tufnell takes on the role of Team Pakistan Olympic selector. What do you reckon?

And Pakistan hearts are in mouths as Amir swings one just past Chris Woakes' half-hearted prod - it was a coat of varnish away from finding the edge of his bat. But the ruddy-cheeked Warwickshire man is made of stern stuff - he sees out a maiden over.

13:56 BST 14 August 2016Bairstow 79, Woakes 1
Yasir Shah switches his angle of attack, going round the wicket, but Bairstow profits to the tune of four runs as he drills a straight drive past the non-striker - and Sohail Khan, lumbering around the outfield like a Bond villain's towering henchman, rather dives over it. England trail by 10. And when Yasir fires in a couple well outside leg stump, Bairstow - as he is perfectly entitled - sticks a great big front pad in the way, without any danger of lbw.
