    Durham 156-6 v Yorkshire 7-0 (1 over)

Adam Lyth is off the mark with a single and David Willey follows suit, but takes his left hand off the bat as he makes contact. Lyth hoists the first boundary of the innings over mid-wicket and Willey is very careful to make sure he uses his right hand for a fist-bump with his partner. A very satisfactory start for Yorkshire.

They've been in the Eric Hollies stand for over six hours now.

I dread to think how many pints have been sunk, but I guess you do have to cool down on a day like today.

A slightly worse-for-wear rendition of 'Hey Jude' belts out from the middle section of the crowd, led by the bananas I think.

    Lovely stuff.

  3. Yorkshire begin run-chasepublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 156-6 v Yorkshire 0-0 (0.1 overs)

I told you earlier that the Willeys are a tough lot - and here is David out to open the Yorkshire innings with Adam Lyth, despite his injured left wrist. Expect Durham to bang one or two in short of a length. The first ball from Chris Rushworth is to Lyth and beats his defensive shot.

    Durham 156-6 (20 overs) v Yorkshire

Yorkshire bowler Liam Plunkett on TMS: " That's a decent half from us. I'm not sure what the par score will be.

"We back ourselves to take that down though on finals day. Tim Bresnan's spell there was great and nice to close it out when they had plenty of wickets in hand at one point.

"I'm hoping David Willey is OK as he can get us off to a flyer with the bat."

"This is history. I don't think I've ever seen four consecutive dot balls in a final over."

  6. Will Willey bat?published at 17:03 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 156-6 (20 overs) v Yorkshire

So, the second semi-final question is at the half-way stage and the big question now is will David Willey be able to open the batting for Yorkshire after being struck on the wrist early in Durham's innings?

He's out on the outfield with a bat in his hands. It'll be a gamble, but don't bet against him being out there in a few minutes as Yorkshire try to secure a place in the final against Willey's former county, Northamptonshire.

  7. Good final over for Yorkshirepublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 156-6 (20 overs) v Yorkshire

Paul Collingwood can make nothing of a delivery bowled wide of off stump, but nudges a single to short fine leg. So, Usman Arshad will face the final ball and a swipe only yields one more. That looks a few under-par, but what can Durham's bowlers do about it?

WICKET Burnham (c Bairstow b Bresnan 17)published at 16:58 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 154-6 (19.3 overs) v Yorkshire

A slower ball followed by a quicker one from Tim Bresnan prevent Durham adding to their total, and an outfoxed Jack Burnham lobs a simple catch to the keeper from the third.

"Durham need at least 15 off this last over to be in the game. If they don't reach 170, I don't think they will be in the game."

Burnham boosts Durham totalpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 154-5 (19 overs) v Yorkshire

Liam Plunkett drops short and Jack Burnham belts it high for six as Joe Root the closest fielder holds out his hands in surprise after losing the flight of the ball. Another follows - almost - as Burnham hammers it over long-on but Adam Lyth produces a brilliant piece of fielding to keep him to two.

"He's moved around the crease far too much Ryan Pringle and a classy bowler like Liam Plunkett can adjust, which is exactly what he did by firing it in gun-barrel straight.

"Durham have just lost some momentum here at the back-end."

WICKET Pringle (b Plunkett 10)published at 16:52 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 144-5 (18.2 overs) v Yorkshire

No idea what Ryan Pringle was trying to do there. He shuffles out of his stance, exposing all three stumps and Liam Plunkett produces a perfect full-length delivery to bring his innings to an end.

    Durham 142-4 (18 overs) v Yorkshire

Joe Root's lapse (see 16:48) is punished as Ryan Pringle drives back past the bowler for four. Tim Bresnan's final ball of the over is a full toss outside off stump, but Pringle can do no better than a single. Two overs left, and Durham will be looking to add at least 20 to their total.

Pringle escapespublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 135-4 (17.1 overs) v Yorkshire

Ryan Pringle flips Tim Bresnan towards short fine leg where Joe Root dives forward but fails to hold the chance. He should really have hung onto that one.

  15. Postpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 134-4 (17 overs) v Yorkshire

Ryan Pringle is the new batsman for Durham and he picks up a single before Jack Burnham reverse sweeps a boundary. Captain Colly saving himself for a late charge?

"Ben Stokes was just trying to force one shot too many there. He went too far to the leg-side to try and make some room.

After Tino Best on TMS describes Ben Stokes as the best all-rounder England have produced since 2000, he hammers a straight four before surrendering his wicket by drilling a catch straight to Tim Bresnan at cover.

"You have to get into Ben Stokes' head - that's his weakness.

"Marlon Samuels got under his skin in that World T20 Final in March. He reacted that day and we all know how it ended."

Yes Tino, we do thank you and don't really need a reminder....

    Durham 124-3 (16 overs) v Yorkshire

Play resumes with an ungainly-looking pull by Jack Burnham, which brings him a single off Liam Plunkett. Only two off that over, though, so it's a good one for Yorkshire. By the way, Ben Stokes' fifty is apparently his fifth in the shortest form of the game.

"Durham are going to need these runs we were talking about because of the rain around.

"They don't want to be losing momentum if we have to reduce the number of overs."
