    Durham 122-3 (15.1 overs) v Yorkshire

One more delivery from Liam Plunkett and we're off again as the rain returns. Wonder if Alan Partridge (below) can see the funny side of this?

    Durham 121-3 (15 overs) v Yorkshire

Youngster Jack Burnham, the new batsman, is immediately off the mark and Ben Stokes pushes the next one away for a single to reach a 32-ball fifty, which has featured three sixes and three fours. If he stays to the end, he has time to make that a ton.

    Durham 119-3 (14.3 overs) v Yorkshire

Yorkshire cannot afford that as Jack Leaning makes a sprawling attempt to stop the ball on the boundary and misses it, gifting Michael Richardson four runs. It is Richardson's last scoring stroke as he is pinned in front by the next delivery, ending a stand of 72 in seven overs with Ben Stokes.

"Anytime you've got Ben Stokes at the crease, you're looking dangerous as a side."

    Durham 114-2 (14 overs) v Yorkshire

A wide one from Azeem Rafiq is edged down to third man for four by Michael Richardson, with Adil Rashid vainly giving chase. Richardson makes room to square cut another boundary and the Yorkshire bowlers really need to find a wicket here. The only good news for them in that over was that Ben Stokes was kept off strike.

"At the 13 over mark, anytime you're playing T20 cricket, I always say you need to be up to 100 runs.

"Durham are spot on and with wickets in hand. To really compete here with this Yorkshire line-up, they need to score at least 180 from here."

Joe Root sends down a friendly full toss and Michael Richardson treats it with the contempt it deserves as he deposits the ball into the crowd at long-on. The six brings up a 50 partnership, with Ben Stokes who smashes another over the leg-side.

"David Willey has made his way back up to the Yorkshire changing room in the last five minutes. I asked how he was and the words he used were, 'not good'."

    Durham 90-2 (12 overs) v Yorkshire

Michael Richardson carves Azeem Rafiq away behind square for four and then unveils the reverse sweep, but it only brings him a single. Rafiq drops short two balls later and Stokes is on it in a flash to pull the ball away to the mid-wicket boundary.

  10. Bairstow error benefits Durhampublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 80-2 (11 overs) v Yorkshire

A lot has been said and written about Jonny Bairstow's keeping this summer and there is more evidence for his detractors as he fails to take the ball cleanly with Michael Richardson well out of his ground. England team-mate Joe Root, new into the attack, is the unlucky bowler - five off the over.

"These conditions aren't great, but it's a part of T20 and you just have to get on with it.

"It's not great for bowling, but I used to bowl a lot of full tosses, so it probably doesn't make any difference."

Adil Rashid is on to bowl following the resumption and Ben Stokes sweeps away for four runs. Michael Richardson scores his first runs with a square drive for two, before Stokes finishes the over with a low Chris Gayle-like six over mid-wicket to move on to 31 not out. Yorkshire need to get rid of him.

Hats off to everyone who's turned out in what is pretty much a sell-out crowd today. The forecast this morning was shocking.

We've been pretty lucky so far with showers passing north and south of Edgbaston - but it's fairly miserable out there still.

Gale-force winds, drizzle in your face, winter coats - welcome to August!

Just a reminder to give a listen to this week's edition of Stumped by BBC World Service. Wonder if Sir Curtly would have enjoyed playing T20 cricket? I doubt many batsmen would have been brave enough to take liberties against him...

The covers are coming off again and the umpires are hoping for a resumption at 16:15 BST.  No loss of overs. David Willey's left wrist has been strapped up following the blow he received when Mark Stoneman hit the ball back at him.

Yorkshire coach Jason Gillespie on TMS: "David (Willey) is a bit sore at the moment and getting strapped by the physio. He's in a bit of pain, but we won't know more until the proper medical procedures are down.

"He's bowled his four overs at least, but with this weather around, we might be losing some overs anyway.

"We'll just have to wait and see if we get the opportunity to bat if that affects him."

I think the key part of that is Monty "opening the batting". I'll let you imagine what that must be like.....

So, no hat-trick for David Willey today (see 15:00 entry), but he completes his four-over stint at a cost of 25 runs. Jack Leaning is deceived by the flight of the ball as Ben Stokes picks up two. The next delivery is a slower one and Stokes helps it on his way for six before adding a single.

Michael Richardson swishes at the next delivery and the ball just misses the stumps as it runs away fine for four leg byes. The rain is heavier now and the umpires decide play must stop....
