  1. wicket

WICKET Stoneman (b Plunkett 25)published at 15:48 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 47-2 (7.3 overs) v Yorkshire

There's the second wicket and it's a poor shot by Mark Stoneman, who plays down the wrong line and is bowled through the gate by a jubilant Liam Plunkett. David Willey takes the opportunity to have his damaged wrist inspected - that's a big lump.....

    Durham 45-1 (7 overs) v Yorkshire

We carry on regardless with David Willey back after Azeem Rafiq's single, wicket-taking over. Willey won't be happy about that as he has to field off his own bowling as Ben Stokes plays the ball down onto the leg-side and takes two. Mark Stoneman dabs neatly down to third man for a single and the over ends as Stokes hoiks across the line, misses and is fortunate not to 'hear the rattle'.

  4. Stokes strikes first boundarypublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 39-1 (6 overs) v Yorkshire

Liam Plunkett is into the attack and immediately produces some decent pace. An attempted bouncer at Ben Stokes does not pay off, however, as the Durham all-rounder pounds it away to mid-wicket for four. The next one strikes Stokes 'amidships' via the inside edge but he is able to nip through for a single as, in the words of Annie Lennox, 'here comes the rain again'.

  5. Postpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 34-1 (5 overs) v Yorkshire

Ben Stokes is off the mark immediately and Mark Stoneman plays the ball down to long on for two. There's one over left in the powerplay for the Jets.

"An unbelievable bit of work from Jonny Bairstow.

"It clipped Keaton Jennings' pad on the way past, but Jonny still had the awareness and composure to leap across and take the bails off in time.

"Azeem Rafiq's real strength is that when a batsman gets after him, he takes the pace off the ball and that's what he did with that delivery."

  7. wicket

WICKET Jennings (st Bairstow b Rafiq 11)published at 15:34 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 31-1 (4.3 overs) v Yorkshire

Yorkshire turn to spin with Azeem Rafiq and it proves an inspired move by Alex Lees. Keaton Jennings strays from his crease as Rafiq's third delivery slides down the leg-side and Jonny Bairstow retrieves it smartly before diving to whip off the bails. Here comes Ben Stokes....

  8. Boundary flurry by Stonemanpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 29-0 (4 overs) v Yorkshire

That's more like it. Mark Stoneman opens his shoulders and collects three successive fours at the start of the over. Bresnan goes round the wicket and almost picks up a wicket as the ball beats Stoneman's defensive prod. The opener plays an ungainly shot at the next one but it flies over mid-off for another boundary - 16 off the over.

    Durham 13-0 (3 overs) v Yorkshire

Mark Stoneman flips the final ball of David Willey's second over down to deep backward square. No alarms yet for Durham, but they're going to need to step up the tempo soon.

  11. dropped catch

Willey needs treatmentpublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 10-0 (2.4 overs) v Yorkshire

There's the first boundary as Keaton Jennings' attempted drive skews over the off-side and runs away to the rope despite Joe Root's dive. Later in the over, Mark Stoneman smashes one straight back at the all-rounder, who is unable to react quickly enough and the ball hits him on the wrist. That looks painful - and out comes the physio.

David's dad Peter was a renowned hard man and it looks like he's made of the same stuff.

    Durham 5-0 (2 overs) v Yorkshire

    Chris Woakes
England all-rounder on Test Match Special

"It's a slow start for Durham. Yorkshire have started well here with David Willey and Tim Bresnan.

"Keaton Jennings will want to get on top here as soon as he can."

  13. Postpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 5-0 (2 overs) v Yorkshire

Tim Bresnan's England career may be over, but he remains a bowler who commands respect. Keaton Jennings slashes at one angled across him but fails to make contact. There are no loose ones for Durham to feed on.....very steady start so far.

  14. Postpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 2-0 (1 over) v Yorkshire

No sign of any swing, the wind notwithstanding, but that's a tidy start by David Willey, Keaton Jennings opens his account by nudging a single down to third man.

  15. Stoneman under way for Durhampublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Durham 0-0 (0.1 overs) v Yorkshire

Mark Stoneman is heading for Surrey at the end of the season, but you can bet he'll be doing his utmost to ensure his home county pick up a trophy before his departure. David Willey has the ball and Stoneman is under way immediately with a single into the leg-side.

  16. Duckett knock blasts Northants to finalpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

Northamptonshire beat Nottinghamshire by eight runs

While we wait for this second semi-final to get started, why not sit back and enjoy the best bits of Ben Duckett's match-winning 84 off 47 balls as Northamptonshire beat Nottinghamshire by eight runs in the day's first semi-final.

  17. Colly knowhow key for Durhampublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

If Durham are to come out on top in this one, I'm sure Paul Collingwood's leadership will be key. He's certainly got captaincy pedigree in this form of the game - remember when he led England to victory over Australia in the World T20 final in 2010.

What a brilliant day that was for English cricket and Colly was, of course, at the crease with Eoin Morgan to finish the job. Here come the teams.......

It's suddenly got quite dark again at Edgbaston. Yep, there's a bit of drizzle in the air and they're bringing on the hover cover.

There is going to be a slightly delayed start it seems.

Frankly, it's a miracle we've got this far!

Thanks, Josh. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm really looking forward to this one. Michael Vaughan tells TMS that he is surprised by Gary Ballance's inclusion in the Yorkshire team. It always seems hard to me when players who have helped a team reach a final - or Finals Day in this case - are booted to the boundary edge when the England players are available. What's your view on that one?
