  1. Eng 153-5published at 38.1 overs

Sciver goes over the bowler's head, they come back for two and Amy Jones is nearly run out at the bowler's end without facing a ball! Three to win! Don't panic, Mr Mainwaring!

That was such a good ball, it was so full it was so hard for Georgia Elwiss to get anything on it.

  3. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 38 overs

    Elwiss b Dottin (Eng 151-5)

Surely not? Surely not? Dottin fires in a fast yorker which rearranges Georgia Elwiss' furniture, just when England were eyeing up a six-wicket win.

Five runs needed. Five wickets remaining Now then England... DON'T PANIC!

  4. Eng 151-4 (target 156)published at 37.5 overs

West Indies turn back to Deandra Dottin (aka "the dangerous Deandra Dottin") - but it's possibly too little, too late as it's only her fourth over, and the game is nearly gone. Sciver adds a single, while a ropey legside wide inches England even closer towards victory. Elwiss nudges a two to third man - that's the 150 up, and only five needed for victory.

  6. drinks break

Drinks breakpublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 19 October 2016

As the golf buggy makes a valedictory appearance in this series, we've heard earlier how Tammy Beaumont's mother has been listening to this series on TMS from the United States, while a number of the England players' parents are out in Jamaica supporting the team.

Speaking of which - I had a text earlier from my friend and long-time cricketing team-mate Neal Greenslade, who's out in Malta watching his daughter Robyn playing water polo for England Schools, external (best of luck to them for the tournament).

Is this one of the best perks of parenting if your offspring graduate to playing international sport - getting to follow them round the world in sunny climes? And, for the parents out in Jamaica, it's not the worst place for what will surely be a series-winning celebration tonight?

  7. drinks break

    Drinks breakpublished at 37 overs

    Eng 147-4

Sciver keeps the strike. England need nine runs from 78 balls, so... we're having a drinks break.

  8. 50 runs

50 for Nat Sciverpublished at 36.4 overs

    Eng 144-4

I'd have thought we were due a drinks break about now, but perhaps they're taking the common-sense approach as England are only two or three big hits away from victory. And Natalie Sciver slog-sweeps Matthews for two, it's picked up just inside the rope but it's a very welcome half-century for the Tokyo-born all-rounder (and that's four words you don't often use together in cricket).

England in a very strong position now. Nat Sciver has batted with maturity and has been entertaining as well, hitting the ball nice and powerfully.

  10. dropped catch

    CLOSE!published at 36 overs

    Eng 141-4

Sciver whacks Mohammed over mid-off for four, while another powerful drill past the bowler takes her to 49. Elwiss takes guard and is nearly caught at short extra cover... Shemaine Campbelle dives just short of what would have been a superhuman catch. A single leaves England needing just 15 more.

  11. Eng 135-4 (target 156)published at 35 overs

    Sciver 44, Elwiss 1

Hayley Matthews (omnipresent cap in place) on to bowl to new batter Georgia Elwiss - the pair of them are mates, and Elwiss prevailed when she dismissed the teenager earlier today. Elwiss runs a sharp single to point, while Sciver dabs one to third man.

21 needed from 15 overs. Six wickets in hand. Who's confident?

I don't think many other people would have caught that. Cooper's got such long arms and she did well to stop that bouncing out. Some people wouldn't have even gone for that catch.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 34 overs

    Wyatt c Cooper b Mohammed 12 (Eng 133-4)

What a catch! Just when England were looking nailed on to knock these runs off with ease, Wyatt lifts the ball over the bowler's head and Britney Cooper, running round from long-on, dives full stretch to take a sensational catch with her fingertips.

If you remember that ODI catch which James Kirtley once took at Lord's - my immediate reaction was that it reminded me of that. Only further out towards the boundary.

Fletcher has shown consistency and control throughout the series and has been the West Indies' biggest threat, but at the moment it looks like it's not going to be enough.

  15. Eng 130-3 (target 156)published at 33 overs

    Fletcher 10-2-28-2

Afy Fletcher's last over - and West Indies's grip on the match (and the series) is slipping away in the Jamaican sunshine as Danielle Wyatt - in the style of Graham Gooch in that 1987 World Cup semi-final - is sweeping anything that moves. These two are also pretty rapid between the wickets which keeps the pressure on the fielders. Wyatt, in an exaggerated manner, leaves Fletcher's last delivery and the leggie's spell is ended.

England have got themselves into a brilliant position. I am pleased Nat Sciver is playing well, I always like watching her bat. She always looks at best when she's playing by instinct.

  17. Eng 125-3published at 32 overs

Off-spinner Anisa Mohammed removes her cap, before rubbing both hands in the dirt behind the stumps. Positive from Sciver, coming down the track to drill a single, while Wyatt - as her partner did last over - knows there's a single to Shamilia Connell. Sciver keeps it going. More of the same wanted by England.

Fletcher's penultimate over, but Wyatt's sweeping remains as adept as ever. Meanwhile, Sciver steers a single to mid-on, she's picked out the lumbering figure of Shamilia Connell and there's normally always a single to her. Wyatt dabs another single, while Sciver clips a single through square leg (via a "stepover" from umpire Brathwaite). Fellow spinner Anisa Mohammed has had the "get loose" signal from the skipper.

Danielle Wyatt has done this throughout the series, she has come in and scored freely straight away. In situations like this it really helps.
